MisterGreen Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 I have a track that appears to have an automation envelope on it, but when I select Automation from the Edit Filter drop-down, nothing appears in bold. Also, the Automation Lanes button is not highlighted. Everything appears as if there is no envelope on the track but it can clearly be seen in the track lane. Is there a way to delete this?

MisterGreen Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 Thank you, scook! Interesting that when I hovered over the envelope, it said "orphaned".
scook Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 That is why it does not appear in the edit filter. It was associated to a parameter no longer in the track probably from a plug-in that was removed. Orphaned envelopes used to be more common. CbB does a pretty good job of removing automation when plug-ins are deleted. 1

That's why I was stumped as to why it was there. 20+ years using this DAW and I still find things I never knew. Thank you again!!
