Hidden Symmetry Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Nice track Kurt, especially enjoyed the chord progression & double harms. -great job
mark skinner Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Very nice and relaxing. Those were some great guitar harmonies and I loved the swelling strings behind the piano. There were some repeating piano notes coming in at 2:19 that I thought were overshadowing the guitars. Listening for the 3rd time (days apart) they distracted me each time. Still a Great song .. mark
KSband Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 Thanks for listening, I'll take look at that. 1
Kevin Walsh Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Beautiful piece with a really nice, smooth mix. Love the melody. The piano bits at 2:09 didn't bother me but Mark's probably much smarter than me on this stuff. I would like to have heard a bit more variation in the dynamics of the piece, but you can't really fault what it is right now, so take that with a grain of salt. I loved it, I really did.
KSband Posted October 26, 2020 Author Posted October 26, 2020 Good point, it is a sparse arrangement, not sure what I could add though. I'm not a keyboard player, I know that is pretty limiting. That's midi guitar, it can be hard to make it sound like a real pianist. Thanks for the feedback.
Bapu Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 (edited) I like it. Very smooth listening. I needs some sleepy time. Edited October 27, 2020 by Bapu
Douglas Kirby Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 A very mellow and laid back vibe to this one - the title of the song is appropriate for this. I enjoyed the lead guitar work in this.
Barry Seymour Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Man, those strings are like buttah. Nice piano sound too. I know you just suggested less reverb on one of mine, but I'd suggest more reverb on the lead guitars here, help them feel more dreamy and blended with the strings. ? Great tune.
bjornpdx Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Nice and calming. I agree with Barry above about adding more reverb on the gtr. Would make for even more of a dreamy mood.
