mark skinner
Hello , if I install the SSd5 Free version , is there a way to play the samples thru the "studio instruments drums" ?? There are only 2 kits with the SSd5 but a huge kit list with SI drums. Also has anyone tried the SSd5 free version ? Thanks .. Mark
scook
Studio Instrument series are all sfz engine synths. It is possible to alter the existing sfz files and replace the samples referenced in the sfz files but it is not possible to add new sfz files or programs to the synths. Before modifying the sfz files or samples, make sure to backup the original files.. I have no experience with Steven Slate products.
Andy Pomeroy
Mark, I had been using version 4 and upgraded to version 5 after trying the free version. It's only $149! You get 135 kits and the ability to mix any of those to create your own kits. I'm using a Roland TD 25KV with great results. One of my adult sons played on it and liked the Slate drums so much that he also bought it.
