Jacques Boileau
...today is my last day of work! ? I will finally concentrate on music from now on! My kids: 'Hey dad, you will have plenty of time now!' Me: 'With all I wanna do, I will barely have enough!' Putting overtime in the studio does not feel that bad of an idea though. ?

Great feeling Give some thought about what would be fun to record or learn before you start remember to go with what feels good once you’re in and sit down no pressure just have fun
Jacques Boileau
Thanks everyone! It certainly feels great! I had a great career as a software developer, but I will enjoy doing something else with my computer!
slartabartfast
Not working a job is not necessarily equivalent to free time. I am amazed at how much I could accomplish in eight hours on the job, and how little I can get done in 24 hours now. Good luck. 1
craigb
'Zactly! If you're not working, then everything is "free" time, but that doesn't mean anything will get accomplished! LOL.

57Gregy
Congratulations! I freed myself last November, and looked forward to being able to record as much as I wanted to. Instead, I find myself getting fat watching TV and eating becan. Good luck!

Jacques Boileau
Not its not me, although I thought the sunglasses would throw you off! ? I do the same with my car... when the streets are snow covered and slippery! ? First day: didn't eat becan, watched only 45min of TV, so far so good, crossing my fingers... Starise
Congrats on retirement Jacques! Please don't rub it in on us poor working stiffs. I do the car thing in winter as well but with me it's not intentional. Have had some close calls up here in Eastern PA in the snow. I sort of found out anti-lock brakes should really be called anti-stop brakes.

Starise
Oh, that must have a different meaning where you're from. Just know that if you get the nickname "pokey" or farm animals run you might be over doing things a little bit ? Just sayin'.....where was this all going? I forget now.
