Larry Shelby
a simulation of the KORG Poly-800 for Windows and Mac. Some new features: Poly-800 MODE for Poly-800 compatibility, Bucket MODE for backwards compatibility, SysEx data import. For those who visit the dev's site for the first time: you will find there a lot of good free synth and effect plugins. https://www.fullbucket.de/music/fury800.html 2
Vernon Barnes
One of the better free VSTi developers IMHO. I have a real Poly 800 but it's a bit poorly so having the emulation is nice and I will be updating tomorrow. The VSTi is a nightmare to program, just like the real thing.
user 905133
Quote . . . You can import a Poly-800/EX-800/Poly-800 Mark II tape dump (WAV) or MIDI System Exclusive (SYX) data file by clicking “Load SysEx/Tape...” in the Options Menu . . . @Vernon Barnes Just stumbled onto the Fury-800. Have you tried importing either a tape dump or a syx file, and if so, how did it go? If it works, I might want to find some of my old EX-800 cassette data dumps (or syx dumps, if I did them). Thx. Vernon Barnes
I have not tried it. I do not have any to try.
user 905133
Works from 25 year old *.syx files dumped to *.wrk files. I will just assume that the older tape dumps work, too (unless I find that I saved a *.wav file). Patches sound different than what I remember, but everything else does, too. A very handy replacement for the real thing hardware!!! Edited December 8, 2020 by User 905133 (1) to add "very"; (2) to change "real thing" to "hardware."
