If you already have Reason 10, then you should already have the Rack VST, and there would be no need to install
or use this....

You can install them side by side as one is version 10 and the other is 11.

Is this offer any different than the Reason lite giveway at Plugin Boutique back in July?

I am not that knowledgeable in Reason software yet and since I got Reason lite rack back then at Plugin Boutique, I am wondering if this Waves offer is just the same and I should just ignore it or am I missing something.

i downloaded and installed. installs and works fine side by side with Reaso 10 lite. but of course, the Europa and Thor are removed from Reason 11 lite.

Yep installed and working here too. Not very exciting without the more interesting instruments I already have in Reason 10 but hey free is free and the bass synth is new if a bit dull judging by the presets ?

You need the code beforehand.  I think Larry has an extra code if you need one.  You get the code from your e-mail if you're a current Waves customer, that's where I found mine and got sucked in.  I decided against the PB deal, so it is what it is.

the only thing this Reason 11 Lite is good for is, "if" Propeller head offer a killer upgrade deal one day. I think its daft to offer Reason 11 with the VST capability so potential customers can get an idea of how the rack works in other DAWs, but then strip out most of the synths and effects that were part of the earlier lite version.  boggles the mind.

Yes it does seem odd. I wasn't expecting so few synths. I've got them in Reason 10 but I'm more used to working in CbB so it would have been nice to have some of them there too - though Europa is there as a standalone plugin of course

I think you get a lot for free. Monotone is really awesome, and the reverb and Scream 4 are also great. You can also get all of the free rack extensions, which add a couple of nice synths and some cool effects., and you take advantage of the deals to buy some of their paid rack extensions.
