Pentagon no longer works in CWBL (but fine in Platinum)?

Recently I tried to create a track with Pentagon I in  CWBL.  It gave me some odd message saying something like it was not installed properly.  I pulled out my X3 installer and reinstalled that plugin but ended up with the same message.

Of course, it works fine in Sonar Platinum.  Any Idea why it works fine there but not in Cakewalk by Bandlab?

Chances are you are running SONAR as administrator and NOT running CbB as administrator. Here is a fix to the registry eliminating the need to run as administrator to load Pentagon.

That was quick!  And something I had totally forgotten about.

I actually have the old forum page up discussing the registry hack to have it not require permissions.  Maybe if I can do that I can get it to run through the dxishell in some other DAWs as well.

Yes, the registry fix I linked above eliminates the need for elevated rights to run Pentagon.
