Clip gain in Clips!

Dont know if this the correct place for feature requests but here it goes.

I think we could improve speed and performance in workflow by having a clip gain in the clip itself or in the clip properties left side pane .

That said, clip gain already exists.

They are displayed by changing a tracks edit filter  ("A" in the image below) to Clip Automation > Gain

FWIW, you can also Ctrl+Drag downward on a clip to temporarily activate the clip envelope.    When you're done it should revert to the clip (Clips in the edit filter).

Tried it but couldnt get the clip display to temporarily appear.

it works only when you click on the lower half of the clip

Make sure you press Ctrl first, and when dragging it does have to be below the clip header bar.

acha! there's the deviation... for me it only works below the middle of the clip, because I have switched off the clip header

FYI - the early access is now out with a keybinding to toggle between clip gain automation / clips:
