Nigel Mackay
File -> Export -> Audio. Files of type: MP3. Set Source Category to Entire Mix. Filename: Whatever. Click on Export. Specify mp3 BitRate, etc. Click Ok You get an mp3 file.

Paul Bush
It sems to be confusing to data from the project file into MP3 , as you know I´m not a computer expert I can barely work a toaster
scook
There is a longstanding problem with dots in a file name. The ".mp3" extension is left off when the program creates an mp3 file so the file shows up with an unexpected file extension. To avoid this do not use dots in project names or export file names (other than the one used to separate the file name from the file extension) or make sure to add ".mp3" to the file name on export. Paul Bush
O.K scook I´ll give that a go next time I export , thanks for taking the time to answer .
scook
I believe this problem only happens when using the Advanced option from the Export module or File > Export from the menu. IOW using the old export dialog. Using the mp3 export option from the export module seems to work as expected. Adding ".mp3" explicitly to the file name in the old export dialog may avoid the problem too.
