Gary Edelman Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Just wondering if it is still recommended to record on a different drive than the the drive that the program is installed on. HD speeds & memory used to be an issue so it was always recommended have a separate drive for audio to get better performance. Is it really necessary with the hardware today?
scook Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 With spinning drives...yes. With SSDs it comes down to disk capacity. If there is room on the disk, a single drive will do.
