Philip G Hunt Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Hi guys, I'm putting together a vocal mix which could benefit from a vocoder. Is there a Sonar Vocoder? I've got versions 5-8 + SPLAT + CbB. I cannot remember if there is a decent vocoder in these. Could it be under a different name? I've also got Project 5, which I think has a vocoder, but is 32bit. Trying to stay off the 32bit plugins for future proofing. Any suggestions? Cheers. ?
scook Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013086/Using-Pentagon-I-as-a-Vocoder Usually Pentagon I requires the DAW to be run as administrator unless the registry has been modified. See this post for details. Pentagon I is a 64bit DXi plug-in (of course, there is a 32bit version too). Pentagon I was bundled with SONAR Producer 5 through X3. 1

Magic Russ Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Me too. Unfortunately a. Pentagon is DXi only. b. Has a few glitches c. For some reason it just has not been working for me lately. Perhaps I need to dig up one of my old installers.
abacab Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 SynthMaster and SynthMaster One have an "audio input" mode in the oscillator section. Each also comes with a VST effects version of the plugin. so that it can be used as an insert in the Cakewalk audio track. Sort of a vocoder if you consider that you can route your audio input through the synth filters, modulators, and on-board synth FX, while bypassing the on-board synth oscillators.
