Keith Wilby
Rightly so, it's moody and magnificent. Perhaps a bit of verb on the vox?

Another fine piece of storytelling Barry. Lot of introspection in your tunes, but I guess that is really what being a singer/songwriter is all about. Really like the ambiance on the solo guitar, very nice. (my way of asking: what verb and delay are you using?) ? tom I'm know wearing this out; but it only takes a minute to jump over to SoundCloud, put a "like" and maybe drop a comment. Just sayin'......... Edited May 8, 2020 by DeeringAmps added comment
Bajan Blue
Nice track - great job At 3.28 on my system the bass sounded a bit off - but this could be what I am listening on - pretty small monitors Nigel

There's just a touch in there. Too much and it would take away from the personal vibe I was striving for.

The Am goes to an AmMa7, I wanted to echo that with the bass. You can hear the same thing at 1:28. Good ear, though! bjornpdx
Barry, Beautiful song and well performed but most of all I admire the heartfelt honesty in the lyrics. I understand how cathartic it is to put your feelings down on paper, in words you can look at. It's even better to put those words in a song which you've done so well here.
PhonoBrainer
Beautiful vocal over cool chord changes. Guitar is liquid, supportive, alive. One crit FWIW I'd drop a little more ambience on the sidestick and the hihats/cymbals, they're hecka dry compared to the guitars. cheers, -Tom

A little bit terrifying too, to be honest. But it is what it is. I wrote it, I recorded it, now I gotta put it out there. Thanks for the kind words. Stratocaster on the left, fingerpicked Takamine acoustic on the right. Solo was on my cheap Squier Tele, with Fender Vintage Pickups. A surprisingly good axe, after some upgrades and adjustments.
