Barry Seymour Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) New mix of "Background Roar." Added some drum fills, re-sang some bits, added a solo at the end and a proper fadeout, tweaked some EQ. Edited April 10, 2020 by Barry Seymour
DeeringAmps Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Well I'll stick with all the comments I made on the first mix. Great storytelling! And now that I've heard it a few times; thinking its an autobiography. Now I see the reason for "the time off". Welcome back! Mix wise, same advise; lather, rinse repeat! There's still some "niggles", but you're making progress. Let this one sit a bit, hone your skills, and come back to it. The "backbone" is there, its quite solid, that's for sure! t still thumb, thumbs and Thumbs

DeeringAmps Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I'll take a copy out to the studio so I can be a bit more objective and get back to you. The Adams are a bit more "truthful" than the Bose cans or the Logitech speakers on the desktop... t

(I use Sony MDR headphones myself, but then I do a test listen using the earphones that came with my Samsung Galaxy phone! ?)
garybrun Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 First time listen for me. Nice track. Will listen again tomorrow and post some comments. 1
Lynn Wilson Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I think this is better than the first mix, which I liked. I'd be happy with this mix; everything is strong, well defined, and it has presence and clarity. Well done. 1
