pascal
hi, how to gradually decrease volume on all tracks at the end of the song (audio + midi) ? Thanks Pascal
Lynn Wilson
Fade out your master bus-automation envelope works fine for this.
reginaldStjohn
Or, if you don't want to mess with your master bus, for whatever reason, create a sub-bus to do the same thing. A bit redundant but some people like to leave their master bus alone.
Robert Bone
You can use curves, or straight lines, or draw your own, with automation on either the master bus or some other common bus just before the master. (I just apply it to the master bus, but that's just me - not sure why someone would want to go through the extra inserting of another bus just for that purpose, but it is a big planet, so who knows). pascal
thanks for the reply, how do we do the automation on the master?
scook
Bus automation works the same as track automation That said, one must have a master bus setup. All the templates provided with CbB have a master bus defined. Did you use a template provided with CbB or did you start with your own template or blank project? pascal
I always use template provided with cbd I never use track automation How it works?
StudioNSFW
LOL @ CBD...I call it that too! The W button will enable Write Automation on that track or buss. Turn it on, tweak whatever control you want to automate during playback. From there you can edit the automation lane with the pencil tool or whatever. The R button next to it (enabled in the above picture)) turns on Automation Read. Remember to turn Automation Write off as soon as you are done actively working with it, or you'll be scratching your head later with why your tracks are behaving weird.
