thegaltieribrothers
Greetings fellow Cakewalkers in these troubled times. If you have the time, have a listen to with you my latest song which suggests that 2nd best is good enough. Any comments or critiques are most welcome. Stay safe. regards paul
Douglas Kirby
I really liked the intro - nice. Wow, this is a bright mix - it works for the song. I enjoyed the lead vocal and the bgvs - nice job there. Was that a 12-string on the solo? Cool song.
David Sprouse
Reminded me of the association...early 70's. The high hat is very crisp, nice one!
Lynn Wilson
This is a lovely song with good vocals and a sweet sound. I couldn't quite make out the lyrics because the reverb kind of buried them, at least on my end. I think if you play with the mix a little, this will be stellar! Stay safe and keep writing.
PhonoBrainer
Well it took me a while to figure out the drums, I think the snare sidestick works but I'd vote for a louder more conventional kit. If there was a kick drum I couldn't discern it. I did hear the congas far left, and the shaker, both of which are great to have, both of which could add to a conventional drum kit quite nicely. You might be going for a more sparse rhythm section. The vocal treatment works for me and brought me into some sort of pleasant 1966 timewarp, which was very cool indeed!!! Had kind of a Brian Wilson thing going on . . . cheers, -Tom

I'd add some beater click to define it better, and do some "carving", solo up the bass and kick, play with it. Overall, you got the tune, little bit a "tweaking" the mix; all good! t I'd throw a "like" on there, but think I'll wait for the remix...
thegaltieribrothers
Hi Douglas, Thanks for listening - no just a normal ibanez 6-string acoustic on the solo. Hi David, Thanks for listening and commenting. Hi Lynn, I'll have a look at the reverb again, thanks for your comments. Hi Tom, 'a pleasant 1966 timewarp' will do for me! Thanks for listening. Hi Tom D, Thanks for you comments I will try another remix next time I'm on this one. Thank you all for listening and commenting it is really appreciated. Stay safe. regards paul

bjornpdx
Paul Yeah, very 60s love song. The lyrics seemed awkwardly phrased here and there but on the whole a very good song. Thanks for posting.
Wookiee
Sounds OK hear, has a sort of late 60's early 70's song vibe with a modern mix..
