Missing Something with Bus

Hello have a little confusion using buses

 

So as I understand I can take say all my guitar tracks and run to a bus to use like plug-ins to conserve CPU usage. My problem is that however they are panned in the individual track once I run through a bus the panning is gone. What am I doing wrong or what am I missing with this theory?

This should work unless it is a mono bus, or an FX plugin on the bus is in mono.

Have you reproduced with a simple project? One track, one stereo bus, no FX plugins? Then add the plugin to the bus, see if it changes?

Yeah man, it's a plugin on the bus that doesn't do stereo  I'll bet. I run into this all the time. Be nice if the DAW could indicate the offender somehow.
