Reinstall isn't working

So, I tried to install cakewalk onto an external hard drive. That didn't work out, so I deleted all the folders on both my laptop and external drive with "cakewalk" or "bandlab" in the folder's name. Now I'm trying to reinstall cakewalk, but I can't change the installation folders for any of my files starting with the VST folder. Help?

Here are the instructions for a clean install. This will clean up the registry and let you perform the install as if it were the first time. If you have installed 3rd party plug-ins under either C:\Program Files\Cakewalk and C:\Program Files(x86)\Cakewalk consider temporarily moving the folders containing the plug-ins before performing step number 9.
