bjornpdx Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Jesse Beautiful melody beautifully sung. She sounds familiar but I can't place her.
Douglas Kirby Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 That's a really cool ballad Jesse - it's been awhile since I heard her voice - she has a good one. I liked the violins in the background - they sounded quite good to me. I really liked that ending as well - well done.

Bjorn, I hope your wife didn't ask you to listen on headphones. 12 hours ago, Douglas Kirby said: I heard her voice - she has a good one. she has never wanted to sing another one of my songs since, I'm searching for another, I'll find her 1

PhonoBrainer Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 smooth chord progression, nice melody, good voice! That's a great foundation. I liked the pizzicato strings as well. That string swell at the very end is great, it has a sense of urgency! The kick drum choice is flabby of course, and demands the listener's attention - is that what you want? If this was a conventional band, I believe the rest of the players would convene an official Band Meeting, and prolly kick the drummer out, because the guitarist knows a guy. 'twas a good listen allrighty! -Tom 1
David Sprouse Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Who's the chick? Jesse, you're so versatile: One minute you're avant garde the next you're playing golf! 2

thegaltieribrothers Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Hi Jesse, Nice song + nice pizzacato strings. Soft and sophisticated - well done. Thanks for sharing. Good Job! regards paul
freddy j Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 This is quite a departure Jesse and very good it is. Actually, it is a beautiful ballad and well demonstrates your versatility. The vocal were very well done --- was that you? Really???
Lynn Wilson Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Jesse! Do you have a sweet tooth? I love the song and vocal, and my suggestion would be to flip the volume ratio of the instruments vs. vocal so the voice doesn't get buried. Otherwise, sweeeeet!
