Reverb?

Recommended Posts

Need some recommendations for go-to reverb VST plugins for CbB. I default to Breverb, but it doesn't have everything I'm looking for.

I *REALLY* liked the Lexicon DX plugin that was bundled back in the Sonar days. I was going to buy some of the current Lexicon plugin packages, but unfortunately they all use iLok, which is a major turnoff for me.

I also have the Waves Diamond bundle, which has R-Verb, but I only really use that on occasion.  What are your go-to reverb plugins?

When I do orchestral stuff I mainly use EW Spaces. Otherwise Valhalla Room and Shimmer.  Adding a little touch of shimmer always does it for the big soundscapes. Sometimes I fall back to Breverb and even Sonitus Reverb, because I know it better than the other.

Dragonfly Reverb - very nice sounding Free Reverb comparable to some commercial products.

There was a 64bit DX version bundled with SONAR. The last version to include it was 8.5. Consider running an advanced install of a version of SONAR to get the plug-in back.

Hmmm, I won't have 8.5 since I went from Sonar 7 to X1. I doubt my Sonar 7 DVD will have the 64-bit DX version.

I also like the Overloud REmatrix, for a conventional convolution reverb with a library of IRs.  But I only have the Player version. https://www.overloud.com/products/rematrix

Here is how to move REmatrix Solo into REmatrix Player. https://www.overloud.com/node/180

Since there is not a direct correspondence from a Sonar ProChannel module and any other plugin format in other DAWs, we have set up a procedure to let you move from REmatrix Solo to REmatrix Player (which is the free version of REmatrix, running like the full version with some limitations).

REmatrix Player, by the way, is a richer version, if compared to REmatrix Solo.

You can follow these steps to install your copy of REmatrix SOLO Library:
