Hi fabulous forum folks

Here's a song written by Patty Lakamp and myself with some great guitar by James Griffiths.

Nits and crits welcome.

Lyrics below link

TMI
Written by Staypress and Patty Lakamp © Copyright 2020
Featuring james Griffiths on guitar

V1
Why do people tell me
All their private stuff?
I’ve really had enough
You had an operation?
You know I’ll be discreet
But I don’t need specifics
When I’m trying to eat

PreChorus
No…Don’t say it
Cuz I
I Can’t take it

Chorus
Too much information
Coming at my head
Awkward situation
Shoulda stayed in bed
Too much information
Why you over-share?
Too much information
Cuz I don’t care

V2
You’re trying to fix your love life
...and I can understand
But please don’t tell me
Everything you’ve planned
Glad you found a girlfriend
Who’s really into you
But spare me the detailed
Post-game review

PreChorus
I never
Tell you
All the things
I do

Chorus

Middle bit
TMI TMI
If you want to get personal, I’m not your guy
TMI TMI
If you think I’m kidding, look me in the eye

PreChorus
Believe it
I mean it
So keep it
To yourself

Chorus to end

I can relate. I know a few people who love to throw all the gross details in my face.  Where did you get those synth sounds?  Are they in CbB or did you buy them?

Great tune.

Really like the lyrics on this one...funny and they flow really well. As for the rest, another stellar Staypress production! Love the super clean mix.

How do you do it?  Great song mate ... it has a serious message surrounded in humour .. might use it as a ring tone next time someone tell me about there woes ... "Oh I'll just answer this .. sorry"?

I really thought this was a fun song - to me it had an 80's vibe - a bit new wave. Your vocal on this made me think of Herman and the Hermits.

I enjoyed the lyrics and the mix sounded quite nice to my ears.

Reminded me of the group sound "Madness"

Is it meant to sound low_bit?

Thanks a lot Gary.

I used to like a bit of Madness.

Not sure what you mean about the low bit?

So it's not about jaw pain?

Massively creative mix. Unconventional, angular chords and lyrics that slide around, start and stop, quite nicely. The mixing curveballs on the vocals kept it all flowing.

I'd say it evokes a certain Wang Chung vibe in spots. As in, "What the hell ever happened to Wang Chung?!?" That Wang Chung. :)

Thanks for the peppy number and the mix was a treat for the ears. My only crit might be the ending, which just cuts off more or less, but hey it knida works. I was expecting a bit more somethingerother on the end there.

Hi yep ,I loved the intro guitar riff it just set up the whole tone for the song,  and the vocals (Ray Davies)were also good  just the whole  feel from the song ..nice one
