Distressors shine best on real/live kick and snare in the aggressive genres. What instruments are you trying these VSTs on?

It's a compressor. And a little more. It's touted as a LA2A and 1176 in one unit. There are some good emulations out there. The native UAD version is available as well as Slate and some others I can't remember right now.

The first mix I did I put the affected Distressor kick and snare thru the Heritage compressor. Foot note: the DAW I use allows me to decide the balance between wet and dry for the Distressors. The goal will be to find the right balance between the tracks with Distressors and the pushing into the Heritage.

They will get labels. After that, we'll see....
