  1. Still no joy on Mac. I even uninstalled and re-installed. Crashes on opening scan at NI's RC-48 plugin. Previous up to date ProTools Standard scanned that plugin (and all my plugins) just fine.
  2. My bad, I thought you said pees
  3. I did not find listening to Rikk's jokes, put downs followed by apologies very inviting. Gave up after 20 minutes. I'll figure out the software after it's installed. Can't wait for Tuesday to post "installed".
  4. Looks like Dual XENONs are not supported for ProTools Studio. Or maybe not. Westmere CPUs (Xenons?) are supported. So maybe it's just a case of no real testing on older (mid 2012) machines. The supported machine Mid 2012 with Catalina 10.15.7 which is what I have.
  5. PC Install is working just fine. Mac is my 'backup' machine so it's not a showsopper. FWIW ProTools Standard on the Mac never had these problems.
  6. On my 2012 MacPro (Catalina)I'm having troubles with ProTools Studio. So far it crashed on scan of NI RC-48. I deleted that plugin in all locations and then PTS crashed with 'nothing'. After I either click Save The Log or click Send To AVID, PTS just closes. In IT Crowd fashion I tried turning it off and on again. Now I got as far as Revalver IV and then PTS just closes with no error. I'm going to try to find out if this a known issue on Catalina and if so can I revert to ProTools Standard on my Mac. FWIW: On the PC no such problems.
  7. I was just "feeding the trolls" ?
  8. Womp! There it is. Have you tried a fresh install of Win 10 and reinstall all your apps? As suggested, do it on a 1tb SSD for your c;\ drive.
  9. What you were probably thinking?
  10. Maybe I need save under the new version to get faster load times. I'll give that a try.
  11. I'm experiencing looooooonger session load times with ProTools Studio now ? Before anyone asks, system specs are thus: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel I9 10900K processor O.C. 5.0GHz, Asus Prime Z490-A mobo, 128Gb PC3300 Memory, 1TB - SSD Program Drive
  12. Yeah, full resolution with 150% looks pretty much like 2560x1440 of course just a bit smoother. This time at full resolution (3840x2160) at 100% ProTools text menu bar looks good. And 150% at full resolution looks good too.
  13. I'd love the ability to see the mixer in S1 look like the Reaper theme Smoothe6. Still, S1 is my goto DAW.
  14. I had a close family friend in the hospital with it, who also had no immune system due to chemotherapy. She died on Dec 6th, 2021. I'm not afraid to publicly say we've had the first two shots and one booster. Both of us work from home, have our groceries delivered (instacart.com) from both Ralph's and Costco. I do occasionally go pickup food at dining restaurants, but I still wear a mask most times. Being a diabetic I try my best to be cautious.
  15. My bad. It was heavily discounted because of the plugins I owned but I'll need at least one more $60ish free plugin to be pretty much even. ?
  16. Very cool. I recently went Premium Mebership (all new plugins are free). So, this one at the intro price almost covers my membership fee.
  17. IIRC Previous version of ProTools would get wonky full resolution. Mainly the text menu bar. Studio One, Reaper and MIxbus 32c was fine. Maybe I'll give your idea a try at my next mixing session.
  18. I'm on 43" now @2560x1440. If I go to 3840x2160 everything is too danged small. I'd love to use two 43" (one for track view & one for console view) but the only way I could do that is to have them stacked and then I'd need an elevator to see the one on top.
  19. My, as yet unachieved, life goal.
  20. Installed.... like forever. ?
  21. Sol's theme is nice and it reminds me of the Smooth_6 theme which I have been using,
  22. With one exception, at least ProTools does a few/several updates throughout a calendar year.
