Been using Webroot for about 6 years (or more) and very happy with their service. Very small footprint on the install and it just quietly works in the background.

For the weekend...$59
I have Kazrog's True Iron (which is excellent). How does Softube's Harmonics compare to True Iron?

Yup. $99 crossgrade offer for both being offered. The deal on FX i just might take.
That's what I'm looking at as well....the FX crossgrade.
Love the Chorus Dimension-D in the modulation bundle...one of the best sounding chorus fx's IMO.

Thanks ZT for all the details, much appreciated. The only other library I remember getting from PluginGuru is MegaMagic Dreams, but I got it so long that it's not even showing in my account. Still, doesn't look like there's a Unify preset for that. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more libraries.

If I'm honest I haven't learned how to use it - the presets are so bloomin' good I just select one and press some keys

Exactly my experience as well....I get lost in these presets.
Besides that Horror/Halloween freebie are there any others to download?
(thanks TTF for that BBC link)

Had any success yet?
Not successful yet, but definitely inspired. I'm working on a few ideas and looking into all the tips you guys gave (Dave's suggestion is high on that list as it's easier to play the guitar than keys). Also checking out some of Captain's plugins.

Good stuff there ZT!!
I'm definitely going to be using this in the song creation process and will check out some more video's on the inner details/how to use it. The quality of sounds are simply excellent and very inspirational.

Unify is fantastic and have been playing with this quite a lot lately. It's set up great for us non-keyboardists and so easy to play.

Are there any issues when working with the UVI Workstation?
-
Don't have anything from Fuse Audio, but this looks like a very nice EQ....will definitely have to check out the demo.
BTW, that code is also posted on their site and this seems to be the only plugin on sale.

Thanks Mesh. Did you uninstall the previous version or just install the new one over the top of the old one?
Maybe I'll just uninstall and re-install to get it back to how it should be. Then again it all seems to be working fine. ?
I just installed over the previous version and IIRC, rebooted after that.

I haven't seen that happen after the update and it's been just working as usual on my end. Not sure what's going on over there ZT.

I sent an email to support@cakewalk.com on 10/28/20 needing some help, but haven't received a reply from them. Is that still a valid address?
Possibly, someone else can help with the issue I'm having in installing the latest version Cakewalk?
I'd like to install the latest version of Cakewalk, but have a small issue doing so. I had a drive (F: Drive) that failed on me which (I'm guessing) is where Bandlab Assistant was installed on. Now whenever I tried to update to the latest version of Cakewalk via Bandlab Assistant, it looks for that F: Drive and it stops the update and get this error:
Of course, I've removed that failed drive and replaced it.
My current setup is:
c : Drive - Boot drive/Win10x64 Pro and all software (including Cakewalk)
B: Drive - Samples
D : Drive - Samples
E: Drive - Projects
What's the best way to get the latest version of Cakewalk? Basically, I just need Bandlab Assistant to see the C : Drive.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

For those who have a Costco Membership, you can get the Seagate 8 TB External
drive, with 2 Port USB 3 Hub built in, for $119.99
https://www.costco.com/seagate-backup-plus-hub-8tb-desktop-hard-drive-with-rescue-data-recovery-services.product.100458004.htmlThat's a very good deal and also comes with a free data recovery service. Read some reviews on the Seagate model and came highly recommended.
Making a Costco run.

Thanks ZT!!
I do have some of those plugins AND (confession time), been lazy to dwell deep into using them properly. You know, us guitarists just like instant gratification...plug it in, turn it up, and play.
OK, I'm going to give one of those plugins a good shot and spend some time learning them.
Just FYI: Melodyne is a fantastic piece of software, but there's just no way it can tackle my singing
. Actually, I can sing in key, but that's going to be an extreme last resort.
Cheers!

I would imagine that all you need is a "4 on the floor" beat and a synth sound that makes your head bop!
Funny you said that as I did write that and then (for better or worse) deleted it from my previous post. BTW, I do like 4 on the floor stuff.
Besides playing the bass line, are there some other (creative) ways to generate it?

Do you want to use a synth to emulate a bass guitar or do you want synth bass?
For bass guitar you really want something that emulates different articulations (sustain, mute, hammer on, slide etc) and work them into the part.
With synth bass getting variation is a big help. Opening the filter on accented notes can help as can using a combination of legato and staccato notes.
I'm looking to use a soft synth for the bass lines (I'm dwelling into the dance genre) and do like those deep bass tones that have some movement/variation. It's a bit of uncharted territory for me in how to do this. I do have EZ Bass & some UJAM basses for the rock side of things (thanks Abacab for the vid).
I generally play a beat and try different soft synths out to see what works. I haven't gone into the piano roll world in creating music (only playing it on my keyboard, but I'm limited in that dept. to say the least...lol). I suppose I'm looking for some techniques/different ways to build a good bass line .

I have AT4 MAX+ (most of the collections included in AT5 Max). I don't plan on pre-ordering, but I'm sure I'll step up to V5. So it's $99 bucks to get the new tech and for another $50 I get the new gear. That seems like a no brainer to me. I plan on getting AT5.
You can also use your jam points for this.
I don't have AT4Max, but to upgrade to A5 (using jam points) is around $104. Of course, NI's GR6 is also on the table.....decisions, decisions.
