https://www.musicradar.com/news/korg-modwave-native-synth-plugin Sadly, owners of the Modwave hardware can’t have the plugin for free - a luxury afforded to owners of Arturia’s Minifreak when its software twin was released recently - though they can crossgrade to it for $50. The rest of us will have to pay the introductory price of $149 (regular price $199). yup Korg is not Arturia ? https://www.korg.com/uk/products/software/modwave_native/

https://www.solidstatelogic.com/media/solid-state-logic-introduce-ssl-12-a-new-class-of-audio-interface https://www.thomann.de/intl/ssl_12.htm The SSL 12 is the new flagship of the SSL line of desktop interfaces. With an emphasis on more professional features, the 12 is designed to become the central hub of your home recording setup or podcast studio. Besides having a total of four preamps and four balanced TRS outputs, the 12 also has two instrument inputs conveniently positioned on the front. with 32 Bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converter On the rear panel, the most interesting feature by far for most audio users out there is the addition of an ADAT input. This allows you to expand your 12 with an additional preamp module, making it a more sustainable piece of gear. Because of the separate instrument inputs, the mic pres now have useful low-cut filters instead of the input impedance switches found on the smaller 2+. What’s more, you now have a useful talkback switch on the main panel. There’s also software included such as Includes 3-month subscription to SSL Complete,3-month licenses from the likes of Antares and Output. SSL Vocalstrip 2 & Drumstrip, IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 SE, Celemony Melodyne Essential, Native Instruments Hybrid Keys & Komplete Start, Ableton Live 11 Lite, AAS Session Bundle and 1.5 GB Loopcloud Samples Overall, it’s a more professional-grade interface in a larger form factor that provides a hub for all your audio operations. SSL 12 is priced at £333 ex.VAT / €399 + tax / $499.

Version 2.3.3- added CLAP plugin type- added native M1 Mac support- much improved UI appearance when using OS display scaling- made WinInstaller suitable for systems not mounted on C:- fixed symbol name clashes for "Knob" and "Filter"- switched build system to CMake , but it was in JUCE right, does JUCE use CMake?

https://www.caelumaudio.com/CaelumAudio/?Page=roastbeef This holiday-themed distortion unit is light on controls but big on sound. The three knobs are labeled sub, noise, and drive, and their function is clearly labeled. Sub focuses on sub and bass frequencies, adding some needed heft and harmonics to the low end. The sound of the low-end focus sounded comparable to Tone Project’s free Basslane. It lacks the stereo width controls for making the bass mono, but it certainly seems to pull and focus the low end to the ear. The character of the low end is pleasant, and it can easily go to growling extremes when pushed to maximum value. Noise uses fixed-rate modulation to introduce some grit to the sound. Like Goodhertz’s Tupe, the noise knob acts less like a noise generator and more like increasingly intense modulation to further distort the signal. This worked best on basses, synthesized and live, adding some intrigue and presence to an otherwise low-end heavy sound. The final control, Drive, is exactly what it says on the tin. Drive acts as an overdrive circuit and provides a massive wideband boost to the gain of a signal. With up to 35dB of gain on tap, Roast Beef’s drive control can certainly cook a signal to well beyond crispiness. Sadly missing from the drive section is some form of tone control, but this is present in the full paid version of Caelum’s own Beef. Roast Beef is free until December 16th, with the plugin becoming a paid plugin at the retail price of $0.99.
