  1. If I already have the iZotope products, why would I need these?
  2. Are you adding a new virtual instrument? Unfortunately there is no standard on what C1 is. I've seen discrepancies between various VSTis of up to +/- 2 octaves. You may be experiencing this between your VSTi and Cakewalk. In another DAW it may be fine, or even farther off. Some VSTis allow you to transpose their outputs to fix this.
  3. Thx! At the bottom is a link that allows you to download a free PDF of the article. It looks like a pretty good summary.
  4. Wait, Super Model? Where? Of course it looks good...
  5. Thanks! There were quite a few up there I had missed.
  6. Thank you, so much! I don't have a good tracking space so sometimes I record myself, convert to MIDI (Melodyne), and then use sample replacement. Other times I just "hand craft" the MIDI from scratch, which is what I did here. Very time-consuming but you can get really good sounds. That is what I did here. I used the following VIs: Slide: Indiginus Resonator Banjo: Amplesound Ethno Banjo 12-string: Amplesound Guitar Twelve Bass: Amplesound Bass P Harmonica: Embertone Honkytonk Fiddle: Indiginus The Fiddle Tambourine: Wavesfactory Sharine Djembe, Chimes, Guiro: BFD Percussion Expansion

Thanks! The cheapest I found was $50 from eBay for an open box/unused product.
  8. The 2 codes listed in this thread are both invalid for me. I can't get past the $799 price.
  9. I really love this! You can find my first implementation of it here. It comes in at 0:57sec. I have no affiliation with Embertone. I'm just very pleased with this VI.
  10. https://vstbuzz.com/deals/80-off-grand-piano-by-realsamples/ Sounds like a really old piano. I could use this.... Edit: only the 44.1Kbps sample rate version is on sale.
  11. The Freebies don't change until Jan 3rd. too.
  12. I can't seem to find a use for ANY of the Labs instruments. They all seem more like sound design experiments, which I currently have no need for. I want to like these <sigh>, but I think I'll just uninstall them to recover the 30GB of space. Am I missing something?
  13. I was told these sites buy overstocked package deals for dirt cheap. That's why they can be sold so cheaply. I bought the 2020 version for $10 and the serial number was legit.
  14. ... and a bunch of other VI's are free, too.
  15. If you own a bundle you also get the bundle's newly added products when you WUP. That may not be enough of an incentive by itself, but it gets added on to the new features described above.
  16. After my first run thru I noticed that bends only occur at the entry into notes. For bends in the middle of notes you have to use the pitch bend wheel. That sounds good enough but I wish the bend keyswitch worked anywhere - NOT just before the note starts. The gliss and "runouts" sound great. The vibrato control works well, although I was surprised how much different the loop sounds compared to Kontakt's LFO (both options are available as well as manual control, which seems WAY too tedious to me). I haven't yet figured out what "blues legato" does nor why they recommend it being used sparingly. The different levels of dirtiness are useful. This is a fun VI. Edit: I've had more time to play with this and I found it's very import to overlap your MIDI notes to get the proper transitions. Stop overlapping the notes to take a breath. And then overlap the notes again for the entire next breath. When doing so, the "blues legato" really stands out. They're right - it's a very strong flavor that should only be used a few times per phrase. The "ghost note" keyswitch is interesting. It's mainly used to define where to start a legato slide without explicitly sounding the starting note. Liking this a LOT.
  17. Mine! I'm working on a piece with harmonica right now and the VI I'm currently using is too clean - think Midnight Cowboy Theme. I need something a little more grimy.
  18. Surprised this hasn't been reported yet (according to the search I just made): --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our holiday sale has begun! Until January 15th, our sample libraries and bundles are 30% OFF*! Just use the following discount code in your cart when checking out: Holiday2022 We're also including a download link to a bonus gift bundle of 20 freebies in every order confirmation email. If you downloaded last year's holiday freebie bundle, the difference is that the bundle now includes the "Guitar Feedback" freebie patch from this year's group buy. Our holiday sale only lasts until January 15th, so don't miss out! * Sale excludes our newly-released sample library, Evolution Baritone Electric --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm curious what the 20 freebies are. I already own everything from them, so I'll have to wait for one of you to report what they are.
  19. And if you sign up for their newsletter you get an additional 10% off these sale prices!
  20. I'm also seeing a Syntronik 2 update to 2.1.1.
  21. I was actually thinking of BUYING that Hurdy Gurdy during BF. Once again, procrastination pays off!
  22. That's on my radar as well. I'll probably get it regardless of how easy it is. I wouldn't be playing it live anyway.
  23. I don't need this. I bought this.
