I just installed another fan and so far it seems to be holding...I think the M2 was getting too hot. Time will tell....I may have to get some more fans!
-
Yeah Grem...and the installation was a nightmare! It almost covers the entire motherboard!

Have you ever struggled to give your beats that extra slap it needs? Well, we have something new you'll LOVE to try. We partnered with EDM producer Mr. Bill to create the first plugin in our new Signature series. Slap combines a unique click-replacement tool with a multi-effect unit. Each of the included effects is carefully designed to create snares and kick drums that slap and add punch to your tracks. We created the Signature series because we want to make the sound of established producers available to everyone. And what an incredible first partnership we had! Mr. Bill has been a leader in the audio production world for years. He's known for producing dazzlingly intricate original tracks, and remixes and some of the artists he collaborated with are deadmau5, Infected Mushroom, and Virtual Riot. Until July 21st, you can get your hands on SLAP with a 30% discount. $89 https://yum-audio.com/Slap-by-MrBill

Huge scare...I downloaded the latest drives for the Motherboard, and it restarted, but then it said "repairing disck", and restarted, and did it again, and again, then said "Please install boot device"! So I went into BIOS and the M2 drive had disappeared! I shut it off...and waiting a bit, and restarted, and then it booted back into Windows. Then after about minute, it just stopped, and would do anything. Shut it down, installed another fan, and for now it seems to be ok...but it's kind of weird. The CPU temp never went over 50 c...and hovered at about 40....so it doesn't appear to be a CPU Temp issue, but rather an M2/Motherboard overheat issue? IDK....but I don't like it!
-
Heck no...and I'm not doing this again unless I absolutely have to! I'm getting too old for this!
-
All seems well...pretty lights...LOL Now I have to get the rest of the drives installed, and route and tie back the cables...

After swapping out the video cards, I'm up and running! YAY! Now the fun begins! I took the card out of my FX-8300 system to get this set up! I'll order a new card sometime down the road. After setting the CPU in BIOS it booted right up, set up Win 11, which was already on the 2 TB M2, and away she went! I'm a crappy hamster now! LOL

It's Summer Time! (At least that's what I've been told, since I live in Ireland I can't really tell if the summer arrived or not...) Anyway, the great news is that we are running an awesome Summer Sale! Until the 15th of July, you can use the code EPS_SUMMER22 and get an amazing 33% discount! But there's a twist! The first 44 clients to use the discount code will get 44% off instead of 33%. That's a pretty tasty discount. So run there now and you could be one of the lucky ones! https://sounds.eduprado.com/

OK...after pulling my hair out for about an hour, I finally realized I never installed the cable for the CPU power. I kept powering on and seeing all the pretty lights...but nothing. After looking everything over, and trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, I looked next to the CPU and saw the ATX Power Sockets had no connector attached! DERH! So initial test everything fired up and the BIOS recognized the new CPU, but the PCIe Graphics card I used that came out of the old i7 System isn't UEFI compatible, so I will have to probably get another graphics card (PCIe 4.0 this time) to get this thing going. The Dark Rock is HUGER THAN HUGE...here's a pick of it installed (which was a HUGE PITA as well)! I haven't tied down the cables yet. Need to determine best routing.
