There are so many factors that play into guitar "tone"... Guitar Wood, Hardware, strings, pickups, bridge, saddle, amp type and settings, tubes, and most importantly, as DA said, FINGERS! I've heard "it's the pickups"! I've heard "it's the amp" etc... It a COMBINATION of ALL of the factors...not any "one thing"!
