I ordered one too....It will be here tomorrow! I hope that it sounds half as good as it does in the videos! I just sold my Bogner Alchemist 212 a few days ago....and I need something less "heavy" and still gig-able should the need ever arise again, and also something that I can practice with in my Bedroom. Since the band broke up I've been offing all my equipment, other than my PRS CE24, and I had a lot of EXPENSIVE pedals...I also have a complete Light Show that I'll off once I've sold out all my Pedals, which are all up for sale on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. I won't be doing a "band" thing again. I'm too old to invest my time and money into something that others just won't take seriously. I invested 6 years of my time, and THOUSANDS of dollars into my last band, only to have everyone flake out just when we were getting to the point of "making it" locally...we had just played Harpo's, and The Machine Shop was our last gig. I figure that, with my PRS Electric, and my PRS Acoustic, I'm set for recording whatever I need to here at home, and I can mic this amp if it lives up to the videos. I did the 3 Pay thing, so can pay over 3 months...

I'm not particularly fond of PA Amp Sims...I prefer the AT4 ones... not that hey aren't OK... I just find them at bit "lacking" IMO

I agree with this. There are some Fender and Epiphone Guitars in the 2 to 3 hundred dollar range that sound excellent for the money...are they great guitars? No, not great, but exceptional entry level guitars that sound like guitars costing much more! Also, as was stated, the Yamaha's in the price range also are very nice... Remember, as Yoda says: "There is no try....only do....or do not" ?

Just use your ears and strum the strings...ONE will stand out. You don't have to be a Guitar Player to know what SOUNDS good to you! Some Will sound thin and tinty...some will sound dull and lifeless....but ONE is going to say to you "this sounds GOOD to me". It really is that easy!

Yamaha's are nice acoustics...but, for about the same money used you can get a better guitar, that is, unless you want new... When it comes to acoustics, I HAVE to be able to put my hands (and ears) on it. I usually go to Guitar Center, sit in the Acoustic Room, and then play the guitars in the price range I'm looking for. Once I've found one that "speaks" to me, then I go on the hunt for the best deal possible for that guitar. As I stated in the other thread, as a RULE, I never buy something that I haven't played. Buying that PRS Angelus AE50e was the first time I've EVER bought something "unheard", but I did watch some videos to be able to at least "hear" what it sounded like. So I took a chance, and it paid off. Sadly, that's usually not the case, because an Acoustic has to "speak" to you, and you'll KNOW when it does! Go to Guitar Center and TRY the Guitars, to at least get an idea of WHAT speaks to you! THEN make a purchase! That's the best advice I can give you!

I have to say that, even at the selling price of $899, this is a LOT of guitar for the money. I've played guitars that cost a lot more that didn't sound HALF as good! The specs on this guitar are something you usually don't find in guitars costing TWICE as much! The only BAD thing I have to say is that these are made in China... but the quality is most definitely there, and it is what it is...
