  2. Analog Waveforms re-released as a VST/AU plugin instrument for Windows and macOS! Analog Waveforms is a free rompler featuring the sound of an analog synthesizer. I sampled each waveform, note by note, each note recorded for 10 seconds, and I looped them to get the most precise reproduction of these sounds. This is an interesting plugin to compare the waveforms of an analog synthesizer with the same waveforms from a virtual synth. It's also useful for a basic synth with a vintage flavor, due to its analog source sounds. Analog Waveforms is available as a 64-bit VST plugin instrument for Windows 8.1/10. It's also available as a 64-bit VST/AU plugin instrument for macOS El Capitan to Mojave. It doesn't run on macOS Catalina and Big Sur, however, you can always try this trick. You can get Analog Waveforms for free here Oberom re-released as a VST/AU plugin instrument for Windows and macOS! Oberom is a sampled version of Oberon, a 19 years old virtual analog synth with a very special sound. Since the instrument is not available as a 64-bit plugin and there's no mac version, I decided to create this sampled version so modern producers can have this sound in their arsenal. Oberom is available as a 64-bit VST plugin instrument for Windows 8.1/10. It's also available as a 64-bit VST/AU plugin instrument for macOS El Capitan to Mojave. Like Analog Waveforms, there's no macOS Catalina/Big Sur version, but you can try the trick linked above. Get Oberom for free here. .

  20. We're happy to release Surge 1.8 today! You can find downloads, an updated manual, and the full changelog at https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/ 1.8 has hundreds of new features and fixes, but headlines of the release are: * New skins, including the lovely "Royal Surge" skin and greatly improved Classic and Dark skins. * New filters, with multiple new filter models, some from other popular open source synths and some unique to Surge. * A complete implementation of a multi-segment envelope generator (MSEG) as a modulation source. * A large number of Airwindows FX available in the FX chain * A bunch of amazing new content! We now have more than 2000 presets in the library! Surge 1.8 has been the result of 6 months of work by a group of volunteers. Thanks to all the people who contributed and tested. Over 2021, we have plans to continue working on Surge and other adjacent projects - stay tuned for more exciting new things as the year progresses. We think we've tested the software pretty extensively, but all software has bugs, and we are hobbyist volunteers. So if you find something wrong please let us know on here or github. And finally if you'd like to be part of the team working on Surge, feel free to join us over on Discord! We are always looking for people to help with testing, programming (especially experienced C++ devs), design, and more. Enjoy making music with Surge!
