Problem resolved. Uninstalled 360 and reinstalled and BINGO...all good now! That was weird...everything being "greyed out" was why I just assumed that it needed hardware. That's what I get for "assuming", and you know what they say about that!

I also noticed that there is a "Plugin Mixer" button on both the Channel Strip and the Bus Comp, but pressing them opens the mixer, but there is nothing instantiated in the mixer. I just tried Pro Tools latest version and same result - nothing. My version of 360 is 1.1.31
