Could someone explain to me how WUP works? If I understand correctly, it's conceptually a 'subscription' allowing you to update every plugin you have to the latest version. Is this for minor releases (e.g. 9.0 to 9.1), or just for major releases (e.g. 9.0 to 10.0)? Does Waves release a new version of every plugin every year?

WUP is primarily for Major updates, and it's basically "up to date insurance" that you pay for, rather than
paying an "upgrade price".  There are ways to "beat the system and get 2 years for the price
of one", which I've outlined before here in the forum previously.  And Waves doesn't really do a "yearly update".  They
update when it's called for by OS changes primarily.  For example, recently they went for V9 to V10, and, if you didn't
have WUP, you don't get that update to V10, but your V9 plugins WILL continue to work, so it's not necessary
to update until you have issues with the plugins "not working" and actually have to update.

  3. If you are really looking to get all 3 plugins,
then this really is a  pretty good deal...because it works
out to about the price with code for all 3.   But, if's
really not getting 2 free...it's paying the sale price
of the 3 if purchased together

Ever seen it go on sale around BF?

Might be one of those 'wanna items'

Most likely Grem.  It can be useful if you want to do something
like pull a drum stem from a song, and then use Melodyne to
convert it to MIDI, and then use the Drumkit of your choice,
or just use the Drum Track itself...or for pulling Vocals out of
    a mix....

    Has anyone tried this product?

Has anyone worked with other products like this?

I guess the real question is do they really work well!?

Yes I own it and yes it works pretty well at separating
Drums, Vocals, and Music...that's the only "separating" that
it does, and it works pretty well.
