You can easily stay within $200 range and get Fender or Epiphone acoustic guitar that will play and sound excellent.

This track has been recorded with me Epiphone DR-200CE Na (CE = cutaway electric, NA = Natural finish).

    Minimal processing applied.

If it doesn't sound acceptably good, I don't know what does.

I agree with this.  There are some Fender and Epiphone Guitars in the 2 to 3 hundred
dollar range that sound excellent for the money...are they great guitars?  No, not great,
but exceptional entry level guitars that sound like guitars costing much more!  Also, as was
stated, the Yamaha's in the price range also are very nice...

    Remember, as Yoda says:

"There is no try....only do....or do not"

Thanks Lars.  Problem is, I can't play at all, so no guitar speaks to me.  :(

Just use your ears and strum the strings...ONE will stand out.  You don't
have to be a Guitar Player to know what SOUNDS good to you!  Some
Will sound thin and tinty...some will sound dull and lifeless....but ONE
is going to say to you "this sounds GOOD to me".  It really is that easy!

  3. Yamaha's are nice acoustics...but, for about the same money
used you can get a better guitar, that is, unless you want new...

When it comes to acoustics, I HAVE to be able to put my hands
(and ears) on it.  I usually go to Guitar Center, sit in the Acoustic
Room, and then play the guitars in the price range I'm looking for.
Once I've found one that "speaks" to me, then I go on the hunt for
the best deal possible for that guitar.

As I stated in the other thread, as a RULE, I never buy something that
I haven't played.  Buying that PRS Angelus AE50e was the first time
I've EVER bought something "unheard", but I did watch some videos
to be able to at least "hear" what it sounded like.  So I took a chance,
and it paid off.  Sadly, that's usually not the case, because an Acoustic
has to "speak" to you, and you'll KNOW when it does!

Go to Guitar Center and TRY the Guitars, to at least get an idea of
WHAT speaks to you!  THEN make a purchase!  That's the best advice
    I can give you!

  4. Here is something that some might not know,

The Bird Inlays are as follows, on PRS guitars

Starting from the nut, the birds are:

    Peregrine Falcon (3rd fret)

    Marsh Hawk (5th fret)

    Ruby Throated Hummingbird (7th fret)

    Common Tern (9th fret)

    Cooper’s Hawk (12th fret)

    Kite (15th fret)

    Sparrow Landing (17th fret)

    Storm Petrel (19th fret)

    Hawk Landing (21st fret)

Screech Owl on a Branch (24th fret -- 24-fret models only)

  5. I have to say that, even at the selling price of $899,
this is a LOT of guitar for the money.  I've played guitars
that cost a lot more that didn't sound HALF as good!
The specs on this guitar are something you usually don't
find in guitars costing TWICE as much!  The only BAD
thing I have to say is that these are made in China...
but the quality is most definitely there, and it is what it is...

    Is it loud?

    It is...it's sounds amazing!
I didn't expect it to sound as
great as it does...I'm really impressed.

    Thanks everyone!  I'm REALLY happy!
Buying a "used" guitar over the internet
is always a scary proposition, and, as a rule,
I don't do it.  I NEED to see and hear it, but
this time I'm HAPPY I DID!!!

  8. Not a deal for you, but was for ME! ❤️
I got this for $460 from Sweetwater.  Said it was used.
It was immaculate!  $440 savings!  YAY ME!!!

    It's a PRS SE Angelus AE50e

How this came about was I had ordered a used one for $600 on Reverb from
Fort Wayne, IN. last Wednesday.  It said "Shipping Label Printed" almost immediately.
So waited for it to say "Shipped".  Thursday...still says Label Printed.  Friday...still says
Label Printed.  I contact the seller and he says that he took it to work and shipped it from
there on Friday, so may not ship out until Monday.  So I waited.  Monday comes and the day
goes by and I check again.  STILL says "Label Printed".  I again contact the seller.  He states
that he can't find if it shipped or not and is looking into it.  Tuesday morning I check again
and still says "Label Printed".  So I contact him and tell him I want a refund.  Wednesday
    I get my refund.

I hope they didn't lose his guitar.  But, that said, after I get my refund I head to Sweetwater because
I saw when I was looking that they had a couple of Demo's for $809.  When I checked I
happened to see THIS one for $459.99!  I'm like WHAT?  So I check out the pictures.  The
only flaw they showed was  pinhead size "dent" in the side of the headstock.  So I ordered it.  Saved
$140 bucks from the OTHER one that I ordered.  It just arrived and it's MINT.  Yes, there
is a Pinhead size "dent" in the headstock, that you would need a magnifying glass to see,
and I DON'T CARE...LOL   It's GORGEOUS!  This is the ACTUAL Guitar I bought!  Came
with a Hardshell Case also...a very nice one!

It did finally work, but after I put in ‘Group’ I didn’t press ‘Apply’.  The discount price came up, and I accepted it into the cart.  Went to check out and luckily I noticed my last three attempts were also in the cart for a total over $600 bigs!! good catch on my part this early in the coffee cycle as I was just on my way to paypal.  Overall it has worked out.  Thanks!    Funny thing was that the non-valid code message came up after the transaction was completed.  Discounted price remained the same, so who knows what that was about.  Soon got an email with the correct price and S/N’s to take to Izotope.

Good work!  I got the same "not valid" message when I tried to apply it...
Everything else it worked on...which was weird...

I was looking at the upgrade from RX6 advanced to RX7 Advanced, $199.    Goes into the cart easy, but when I put in GROUP, I get that no valid message.  I will try again.  Although I am thinking this Upgrade covers all RX advanced users from 1 to 6.  Perhaps this is telling me just wait till RX 8 advanced comes out.  Surely I will be able to go from 6 to 8 with a similar price if I wait.

    Send Uncel E a message on KVR...it should work...he'll
    take care of it...
