I disagree...if you get Amplitude Max, then you should qualify for "MaxGrades", but you don't. It's like not owning it at all...it becomes "Fluff" that comes with the hardware....and becomes useless in terms of a "long term investment". This is bad business, as you've alienated customers who would most likely PAY for upgrades, but have been kept out of the upgrade loop, and are then FORCED to pay for MORE products to be able to "stay in the game".

I guess you could say that...the extras alone are well worth the price... Every year they do this right before a new version drops...so I don't think that they are cutting down the buyer base....just trying to build it up for more "Upgrades" when the new version drops...

If you don't have Spectral Layers Pro this price is actually less than the price of SL7...so it's well worth it, AND you get Convology XT Complete, which is $349, and other stuff...it's like getting Pro X5 Free... It also means that Pro X6 is probably right around the corner

I agree with ALL of that...unfortunately, they do not....

According to the rules at IK, a product has to be a PAID version in order to upgrade, therefore if you received it "with" a Hardware Product it is NOT considered a PAID version. I received Amplitube 4 Max with my Axe I/O, and it is NOT a "Paid" version. It's a SHYSTER move on IK's part to generate more revenue, but will actually have the OPPOSITE effect!

I had $100 set aside for Black Friday...I spent $80 of it on this...and am having buyer's remorse...I wish that I hadn't now, after thinking long and deeply about it, and I now I only have $20 for Black Friday...asi es la vida! My gut tells me that it's not going to live up to S-Gear, NeuralDSP, etc... Mind you it's always been decent, just not "WOW". S-Gear made me go WOW. NeuralDSP Pliny and Nolly made me go WOW. I just don't think that it's going to happen with this. I was underwhelmed with 4... so don't have high hopes...but I also hope I'm wrong!
