Same experience here. Smooth upgrade and Melodyne works better than ever. Thanks Bandlab!

No probs Fleer. Must be PhasePlant then? Not yet out but looks promising... https://kilohearts.com/products/phase_plant

Is this the one that you are missing Fleer? I tried the demo based on your previous comment and for $19 this definitely no brainer territory. Fat and analogue sounding, a great UI if you want to dial a sound in and masses of presets if you don't.

Just tried it on a recorded live song wav file that is 4m 40 seconds long. It took a while but worked OK and produced a correct looking tempo map.

Very nice update! Thanks for the heads-up Larry. Thanks Bandlab - seems super stable on a few projects I have tried so far. As a side note I have also finally updated to the latest Melodyne (4.2.1) which seems to work fine.

I downloaded the demo (8.2 Gb) which has the limitation of producing white noise every 30 seconds or so. The standalone version strangely only offers Windows Audio or Directsound with no ASIO option. I chose Windows Audio which seemed low latency and I didn't notice any glitches. The VSTi worked fine though in CbB with ASIO and I had no crashes. I skimmed through a number of patches before getting fed up with the white noise. I would say that a lot of the patches are aimed at dance music but I did also find quite a few non-dance patches. Liked the piano, choir and FX drone patches. It's probably worth the money but I will pass as I already have enough synths to cover these sounds. If you are in two minds try the demo.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like excellent value given the following specs although it is being marketed for Dance Music... Over 870 Presets & 900 ROMs Over 1100 Waveforms Over 1700 MIDI Loops 10.5 GB ROM Library PluginBoutique have a trial version so I might give it a go... https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/5285 KVR thread here --> https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=504689

Cheers Zo. I think I better start a monthly savings account for new plugins. I will certainly look forward to your in depth video review. ?

Thanks for the clarification Matthew.

I guess it is similar. I don't have Gullfoss but have used Vitamin quite a bit only on the master bus whereas when I demoed SPL Vitalizer I used it on individual tracks. I really liked what it did to bass and kick drum tracks. I'm sure it can also be used on the master bus though. I just figured at that price it was a useful tool to have in addition to Vitamin.

Hey Cookie, Just wondering are you able to run Padshop and Retrologue 2 with only the soft e-licenser? I was thinking that my upgrade cost from Cubase Elements to Artist (which I don't plan to use) is cheap enough to make it worthwhile even if I only intend to use Padshop (plus the upgrade to Padshop Pro) and Retrologue 2. I wouldn't need a USB e-licenser would I as I don't intend to use Artist? Also, wondering if I would still be able to run Elements or does the upgrade to Artist license replace the Elements one rather than being in addition to it?

Nice! Thanks for the heads up TS.

Thanks for the heads-up Mibby. I don't have any of these so will definitely give the free bundle a try.

Tried and liked. No brainer. Cheers Larry

Does anyone know what happens if you have some Steinberg software that uses the soft e-licenser and then buy Cubase Pro and an e-licenser USB dongle? Do you have to transfer all soft e-licenses to the USB dongle or do the two things happily co-exist? The USB e-licenser dongle is the one thing putting me off going to Pro as my USB ports are all used up so I would have to add another USB hub.

That is spooky Starship! I have recently had a very similar experience having also got it and Instascale in a 2 fer a few months back. I got the Jazz and Blues presets from PluginBoutique last week which made me want to explore Instachord a bit more... It seems to me to be a way of simulating guitar strums or picking (although chords can also have notes played simultaneously) whilst selecting chords to pick or strum using single notes which you assign to chords. So the two columns in the top left part of the display titled Chords will select the chords listed (which can be changed by clicking on them or loading presets). These correspond to the two octaves on your keyboard labelled Chords A and Chords B. When you press any of these keys you are simply changing the chord and won't hear anything until you use the the keys in the octaves labelled Pick A and Pick B. These correspond to the Columns in the top right of the display. The actions for Picks A and B are listed in their relevant column which can also be changed by clicking on them. So by default when you play C in the Picks B octave (for me this defaults to Strum Down Fast 1 2 3) it will play the first 3 notes very quickly one after the other of whichever chord you have selected in Chords A or B. When you play the next note in the Picks B octave it will play notes 2 3 and 4 as a strum up fast and so on until you get to F# which plays a slow strum down for notes 1 to 5. You can change any of these actions by clicking on them. The Picks A octave allows you to play any of the 6 chord notes (kinda like guitar strings) plus a bass note. Like Picks B the actions can be changed. Have you worked out what the hold mode does? I cannot tell any difference between Pick and Pick+ modes and Fret mode makes no sound so not sure on that one. UPDATE: WA Production's website gives the following information for Hold Mode... This feature allows the fretting hand (chord changer keys) to control the sustain. So as long as the chord key is held down any note you play will ring out, just like a guitar or using a sustain pedal. Scroll down on this website for more information https://www.waproduction.com/plugins/view/instachord In all honesty I'm not sure how much use I will get out of this plugin and there are so many other variants which do something more akin to what I actually would use (Cthulu, Obelisk, Chordz, kawachord, Tonespace and probably a few others that I can't recall).

Found it on KontaktHub but not on SAS website strangely. Thanks for the heads up Fleer. https://www.kontakthub.com/product/blura-red-kontakt/
