  1. Here’s what’s new in version 2.5: New "Actions.." item in Pattern View: "Shuffle note values". New "Actions.." item in Pattern View: "Shuffle octaves". New "Actions.." item in Pattern View: "Shuffle step effects of notes". Bugfix: The step effect "Resume playing notes" prevented note stops when no input chord was available anymore. Bugfix: The UI scaling was set to 50% when the theme "Washroom" was chosen. UX improvement: The pattern won't get changed to "Nothing" anymore when you click below the Pattern combobox. 2. I reached out and got a $50 voucher, but $349 is still a considered purchase and not "no-brainer" territory. On the fence at the moment.
  3. Yeah, I thought the same re the voice modelling @mettelus There's more info on this page (uk page but there's probably a similar one for other regions): https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve At the bottom of the page, regarding Studio vs free versions it says

  5. Yes, Zo, you can erase the samples and Scaler 3 just ignores those samples when you select them and you hear silence.
  6. The official tutorials are also pretty useful and they will keep adding to them: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzUwuiQFNAPSmGIT7vC7-VLl7SeK8taLf
  7. Mine is also authorised to my iLok, but I don't get any error messages. It looks like I'm on v1.1.0 of Polymax - maybe they implemented a check in later versions? What version are you on?
  8. Undoubtedly, they are good plugins. It's just that I have all that they cover, already covered many times over! 🙄
  9. Scaler 3.0.1 is out. Download from your ScalerMusic account. PB was still showing v3.0.0 when I just checked but it might be updated by the time you check. I can report that the standalone version is now finding my 3rd party plugins. ✔️ Here's a mini change log for this "silent" update. NEW Chord Panel Display (shows notes and chords on MIDI input) FIX Bound area not reverting to white keys when turning of Keys Lock | Chord Notes/Extensions/Scales Profile FIX Crash when dragging multiple chords to Sketch Page when chords extend past row limit FIX Crash when adjusting velocity of individual notes with multiple chord clips selected. Improves stability
  10. I have uninstalled UA Connect and PolyMax is still working fine. I uninstalled all of the other UAD programs I was demoing after deciding that I just didn't need them.

  12. Yes, I think I left it selected when I installed just to see if the sounds had changed and were any good, thinking that I would move/delete them later. In fact, I have now discovered that you can delete the sounds and Scaler 3 doesn't mind - it just ignores the missing ones and you hear silence instead. So I have left Felt Piano there plus a few of the other category sounds which are okay (one bass, pad sound etc). I had also forgotten, but just checked, that they did implement a user selectable location for the sounds in Scaler 2 under preferences. For Scaler 3 they are located here in Windows C:\Users\Public\Documents\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Sounds
  13. Very true. Internal sounds should be optional, so you shouldn't need to download them at all, or for every update. I have added this to the Feature Requests part of the Scaler forum. https://forum.scalermusic.com/t/please-make-internal-sounds-optional/20601
  14. Yup, even though ASIO was in V2. The plugin scanner also doesn't work properly in the standalone version e.g. for me it only identified Waves instruments and NOTHING else! Have a look here for more information on the main problems being found. https://forum.scalermusic.com/ In fairness, it is early days in the V3 lifecycle and V2 had many free updates so this is also likely to happen with V3. I think it was possibly released a bit early, but it also features many workflows changes from V2 which might take some time to get used to for some.
  15. Thanks, that fixed my plugin scan freeze problem in KK.
  16. This is now fixed for me in the new version of KK (3.4.1) as at 27 March 2025.
  17. Just noticed a small update when I ran MPluginManager. Change Log: Added time stamps to log file. Fix Potential permission issues during plugin installation on macOS. Other small improvements and fixes.

  19. Lol, glad that was it and you got it sorted! I only suspected that was your problem because it's exactly what I did before I realised it was a different serial number at ScalerMusic 🤦‍♂️ I have also updated my post above so that anyone else knows what to do.
  20. That's weird. Did you redeem it at https://scalermusic.com/ ? Note that the authorisation code in your Scaler Music account is different to the redeem code at Pluginboutique.
  21. Scaler 3 in now available in your PB account! https://www.pluginboutique.com/ You have to redeem the code on Scalermusic.com (remember to create an account if you haven't already) https://scalermusic.com/ NOTE: The serial created at Scale Music is different to the one at PB, you have to redeem the one from PB at ScalerMusic to create your authorisation code at ScalerMusic.
