"The DOPAMINE plug-in is designed to revive individual tracks as well as complex mixes while preserving their natural tone. It is based on the encoding stage of the Dolby A-Type and DBX 180 processors. Overloud DOPAMINE does not introduce unpleasant artifacts like the enhancers do: in fact it dynamically balances the harmonics that naturally exist in the original audio rather than generating new harmonics by synthesizing them." $39 INSTEAD OF $139 https://www.overloud.com/products/dopamine fj

Well, I caved to the GAS. Too weak.... couldn't resist. Now I'm just waiting on my new SSD. At 30 GB for each piano, I'm gonna need it. fj

"The Explosive Tones of Two Iconic Albums" - Gee, I wonder what 2 albums they're referring to "Brown Sound 78/79 Signature Collection is now available via ToneNET and within any version of TONEX for Mac/PC at a limited-time introductory price of $/€ 79.99 (reg. $/€ 99.99)." https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tonex-brown-sound-7879/ fj

I've never used Front DAW before, but based on vids that I've seen of it, it doesn't look like it compensates for gain automatically. I could be wrong, but I would be surprised if it did. At least it has an output control. I don't think version 1 even had that. fj

"From May 12th to May 25th, enjoy huge discounts across three tiers – our thank you to loyal users and a welcome to new ones. Don't miss this chance to elevate your productions with our innovative audio tools!" https://unitedplugins.com/discounts fj

It came from IK via email. But if you have the points, it's $10.00 less. That's the route I'll take if and when I decide to jump in. fj

As a Total Studio 3.5 MAX, I don't qualify for the $100.00 off. Though I did get a coupon code for $50.00 off, or I can use jam points to $60.00 off (but not both). I'm still on the fence, but the GAS is starting to catch on fire and poised to burn a hole in my wallet. At $139.99, this is a pretty good deal for the extra stuff that I don't already have. Damn you, IK! fj

Hahaha. I didn't realize that this was a 5 year old thread and gave Larry a thanks in the op earlier today. Oh well, he still deserves it. fj

Awesome freebie!! Already in use on a guitar part in a current project. Don't miss out on this one. fj

I didn't realize the the files from gtptabs.com are (or appear to be) the same as the link I posted. I really like the fact that there are ratings (1 - 5 red picks) beside the files on the gtptabs site. I'll probably use that as a reference to help we ed out the bad from the okay files. fj

Yeah, I've been kicking myself for missing that deal when it was offered. I was a little on the fence as to whether I wanted it or not. Now I'm late to the party. Oh well, I've got to the end of the month to decide if I'll jump on this current deal. fj

Scaler 3 is currently on sale for $79.00 (reg $99.00). Based on past discounts, does anybody know if better deals might come along? fj

The bands that don't start with letters, like 311, are in the "Others" folder (labelled OTROS tabs.rar). fj

If you guys are interested in downloading a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of free gp files, they are available here. Scroll down the page about half way, and you'll find a download link for each letter of the alphabet (either rar or zip), and one folder called "Other" at the end. Oh, and did I mention free? fj

I think the forum members would generally be glad to abide by the rules; unfortunately, there was no communication of this policy change. I think that is the lesson here. Perhaps a sticky at the top stating the new policy would be helpful. This would not even be an issue if a perpetual license for Sonar was offered as an option. But because it is not, some people, who will not pay for a subscription, will voice their frustrations about that here and with that, some alternatives. And I'm willing to bet that the people that will stop using Cakewalk and move to an alternative, really don't want to because they love it (like I do) Now what we're faced with is censorship. Who really wins in this scenario? And yes, I know that if I don't like it, I don't have to be here. But again I ask... who really wins in this scenario? fj

Thanks, mettelus.

I'd be more than happy to throw my cash towards Cakewalk (Sonar). I've been using it for well over a decade now (including paid versions), and I really don't want to go to a new DAW. But a subscription model is out of the question for me.
-
Almost all other DAW developers (that I've looked at) do offer a perpetual license option, though.

The StudioOne topic that I started yesterday seems to be gone. Was it taken down for some reason???
