If you want a free way to do much if what Max can do, then download Pure Data. It was created by the same guy that created Max, but it's free. https://puredata.info/ The programming is very similar so learning Pure Data will prime you for learning Max. There is a version of it called Plug Data that can be used as a plugin. https://plugdata.org/ Max has more features and a much better look than the Pure Data variants. However if you want to dip your toes in the water, Pure Data is a no cost way to do it.

I use it. It is VERY deep. You'll need to spend time going through tutorials or working through one of the several books out there to really take advantage of it. It's essentially a visual programming language so you can get it to do about anything you can imagine with audio or midi. Be prepared to use it standalone mode only unless you have Ableton Suite (or Ableton with the Max add on). There is an additional paid RNBO add-on which allows you to export in various formats, but it is limited to a subset of the available modules. The Cycling 74 store has sales once or twice a year for around 25-30% off. I love the software, but it's definitely something you'll wnat to dedicate some time to take full advantage of it. If you've done any type of programming in the past, then that would make the transition easier.

Get a 15% discount on Native Instruments plugins, sound packs and bundles
SmokeyJ628 replied to cclarry's topic in Deals
I had to bite on this one. Been eyeing Vintage Vault prior to this, and this deal was too good to pass. Downloading now. EDIT: The coupon is essentially taking 15% off the "list" price, as opposed to 15% off the sale price. -
I wonder if UVI is aware that Rob Papen already has a compilation vst called Prisma? https://www.robpapen.com/prisma.html

I get errors when trying to login, so they must be having some issues. EDIT: login now works for me, but I have the same issue with the price not showing. I think this happened last time, and it took a day or so for it to show the correct price.

(Not a Deal) UVI Workstation Update - Now includes UVI Starter
SmokeyJ628 replied to ZincT's topic in Deals
Yeah, this has been out for a bit so I still think something else is coming from UVI. -
I know many have been following BFD to see how they're going to update it. There's also a sale on the new version and the expansions. Website: https://www.bfddrums.com/bfd3/

Native Access updated itself to the new version and now it won't start for me. Gets stuck on the "Loading Products" page forever. This is has been a common reported problem with Native Access going back for years. I absolutely abhor Native Instruments these days. They're really the most reliably incompetant major developer.

Doesn't work for me either. -
Just a reminder in case you missed it: Fabfilter Pro-Q4 is out Thursday
SmokeyJ628 replied to bitflipper's topic in Deals
"Been spending most our lives looking at Fabfilter EQ lines..." I couldn't resist. -
For US customers at least, Best Service has a better deal on these (roughly $30 per expansion). https://www.bestservice.com/en/vengeance_sound.html?pg=1&lc=25

D'oh...didn't see the others were found.

Music Production Suite 6.5 upgrade $104 from any version
SmokeyJ628 replied to kitekrazy1's topic in Deals
Jrr has a nice discount. Approx $87 cost with code. -
I really like the Pettinhouse Guitars. For me (as a piano player), I find it easier to play strumming patterns with them than with Orange Tree or the like. Will definitely be upgraded my Direct Guitar.

Not quite. This product is a Yamaha CP-70.

I wrote one question in my post. I then made exactly one edit that provided links to several examples of what I brought up in my question. I made exactly one mistake in saying 6 months instead of 8 months. I made no other changes to my post. That is what I have done. And you are saying that my actions feel a lot like harassment? My irony meter has exploded: You complain about my one clearly indicated edit, but you have edited (without annotation) every one of you posts in this thread including changing the one I replied to. Some have been edited multiple times based on the time-stamps. You said: "If you don't agree with someone or like what they wrote, you can simply skip their post and read another one or state your case without an attempt to cancel someone else's write to speak. It's not that hard." Then you write multiple paragraph responses to me and then indirectly accuse me of harassment. I have contacted a mod explaining I've been falsely accused of harassment. I've been a relatively quiet Cakewalk forumite since 2005 or 2006. I'll go forward never addressing you again and I'll never this post or my previous one.

Can we have an ISW related topic without some sort of shot across the bow at them, PavlovsCat? EDIT: In addition to this thread, here are some others from the past 6 months:

I'm in as well. Great idea!

The FL cloud allows you to use UVI without a dongle. Only in FL studio...but still, that's interesting. edit: I'm assuming they mean without ilok period, but I haven't confirmed that.

Email has a code. I can't tell if it's personalized or not -
That might be the upgrade from Premium 5/6 to Premium 7? It seems to be in line with the Acon Digital website's price: https://acondigital.com/store
