  1. and Janice Long passed away. ? I still can't see where to get that issue or those packs?
  2. yup. updated this morning. no issues from what i can tell. Arturia are on a roll this month. Updates every few weeks.
  3. its on my Soundclound page. I don't want to clutter the thread with sound files.
  4. Yeah. It was a fun exercise. I think with a little eq and effects in AT5, you can try to match it. FWIW.. Softube BB can load in standalone mode in the DAW and use a lot less resources than AT5. So that's something worth considering if deciding to buy it. I know I am coming across as a Softube fanboi. But to be honest, I really love using AT5 and it's alot of fun. They both are different tools.
  5. I was goofing around this morning and I tried to match as close as possible the Softube bluesbreaker settings I used yesterday in Amplitube 5 as close as I could. In AT5 I am using the JH Gold from Hendrix collection [1] and Brit Greens which *should* be close. The original BB had Green 30watts. The Brit Greens are 25w. I uploaded the demo. Sounds nothing like it. The close mics are matched I think. I can't see room mics in AT5 that match what Softube are doing. source: IK Multimedia site.
  6. Lemmy is too new. The other two, possibly.
  7. I was running it in AmpRoom. I am just adjusting room mic faders to control ambience and space.
  8. I don't see any rooms. I don't even see some of the ability to move mics and change them as I do on other cabinets in AmpRoom. It's just whats under the Cabinet and Microphones section here. https://www.softube.com/manuals/marshall-bluesbreaker-1962
  9. sounds great. reminds me of joe walsh tones a bit.
  10. I heard good stuff about Scuffham. Never used it. For what I am doing, I find that AmpRoom gives me access to the Suftube effects that are integrated so no need for me to waste extra time or resources adding Softube effects as inserts in the DAW and chain.
  11. It's just a old Washburn falcon with Seymour Duncan's in middle position. And a IKM Z tone DI. I don't do any mixing or mastering. I just noodle away and it gets sent away to someone else who knows what they are doing. If someone has a good quality high end Les Paul, it would be interesting to hear their take on it. I have never owned a real Bluesbreaker and have no idea how they feel.
  12. I don't use Reamp. From what I can see from their page. it allows for independent IRs to load. I don't think AmpRoom had that functionality. FWIW.. I use mostly AT 5 and AmpRoom. AmpRoom is a different tool than AT5. I find it complements AT5 but is a different sound and different vibe. It can't replace what AT5 can do. Using the two sims together I think allows me to come up with different sounds and vibes. Best thing to do is demo AmpRoom and see how it performs on your system. https://www.softube.com/manuals/amp-room
  13. sometimes i wonder if Softube staff lurk on here.. ?
  14. I have it, but I haven't really used it much. There are some threads on GS discussing saturator plugins and some more experienced people claim it's one of the better ones on the market. I would say, try the demo and compare to others you have.
  15. It's a very nice.. I uploaded a quick demo on my soundcloud. No extra effects, just the Softube Blues Breaker plugin and whatever compression and reverb they have built into it. Here's to hoping they don't throw this into the next volume upgrade else I will have to sell it independently on KVR. . ?
  16. Marshall Bluesbreaker expansion is also on sale.
  17. And Marshall Bluesbreaker is $19 ? finally . I just picked it up baby.
  18. congrats. its good to be old.
  19. i have this one in my collection and started using it. its very very good. very nice!!
  20. The Marshall Collection I am seeing for $195 USD. I am not sure if good price. https://www.softube.com/amp-room-marshall-edition
  21. Pretty cool update. Seems to have added new and easier ways to record audio for traditionalists like me.
  22. it is any good? what is the built quality like? i am considering picking up a real bass now that i have all these bass amp sims.
  23. COMP -> EQ is what I use. But I have seen more and more that there is no general standard. When I watched some of the more experienced engineers online, who actually know what they are doing as opposed to me, I get the impression they approach software and plugins differently than hardware. it seems to me they will just use a combination that sounds good to them and gives them the sound they are looking for. Maybe it's the flexibility of software and the fact that its not hardwired so you are really free to do whatever you want. The only limit is the system resources of the computer you are using. If 10 compressors in a row give you the sound you need, Just go for it. The FX ordering Fillipo did here really made be re-think what I am doing with the software I use.
