  1. Because you can never have too many CS80 emulations. https://www.softube.com/model-77-dual-layer-synth Code worked for me but I don't know if there are any additional specific account requirements to use. Also includes 7 modules for Softube Modular.
  2. Hmmm an ultra fast quality branded 2tb hard drive costs about £110 which makes this install cost about 11p or 1/8th of a macdonalds 99c cheeseburger. Doesnt seem that unreasonable to me.
  3. Got a handful of V15 and they are working fine in Bitwig on the latest Beta 8 for me.
  4. Beat require a subscriber number to access the freebies which isnt uniquely available from those sorts of services, which seems fair enough given the content they offer.
  5. I agree I was surprised to see this as a freebie as Arturia usually charge for their Newloops packs which i've found a lot more usable than some of the overly produced ones.

    Considering Bitwig

Hi, Have you tried the Time Shift tool for your use case? The Bitwig Discord is where Bitwiggers hangout for more questions like this https://discord.gg/zc6S6rza Yea I found the opposite. I found the side by side clip launcher to arranger really inspiring over Abletons Mixer style clip launcher. I guess it depends on what you are doing as to which features appeal either way. Also Bitwig doesnt need retrospective recording baked in, thats the old constrained Ableton way of thinking. Bitwig's modular workflow lets you put multiple devices in line on the same track and the MIDI chains through so put in something like Birds MIDI cap on a track and you have a much more useful and visual retrospective MIDI record implementation than Live.
  7. These are the bonus soundbanks that you only get for free with the upgrade to V Collection X
  8. Sonically there is no difference nor advantage to be had between the VST2 / VST3 formats they would sound identical. Assuming you are not using a legacy DAW and something up to date the only format that would make a difference is CLAP which offers voice spread functions etc etc.
  9. Only in the sophistic realms of marketing managers imaginations is F'em a $179 synth. Historically its been regularly discounted to $30 or so which is a fair price, the $49 touted for this sale seems a little pricey. The expansion packs look like a deal though.
  10. The $29 deal was under the old pricing model where you had to pay for the effects separately. Now that the hosts drive the revenue instead I suspect that this will be as good as it gets.
  11. Not $20 it was $9 back in May. At least thats what I paid for it direct.
  12. Thanks for the responses if its not a common problem then it looks like its something at my end, so a fair amount of step by step elimination awaits . . .
  13. HI, Every now and then for me Cakewalk randomly boosts the gain to maximum. This happens to either individual VSTs or audio tracks, frustratingly the event does not appear in the undo menu. When it occurs its sudden without any obvious trigger. I thought at first it was a controller sending rogue MIDI data but it seems to happen even when all my controllers are switched off. I was thinking at first it might be my MIDI interface or maybe a driver issue but googling around I see that Cakewalk was heavily impacted by unresolved bugs in the past, before I replace the interface has anyone else experienced this?
  14. I just checked both scenarios and they work flawlessly Win 10 , I5, 8 Gig. There really isn't any reason not to upgrade to Win 10 other than ten minutes of your time.
