In Cubase I've got a folder labelled NewPlugins and anything I buy, I also add them to that category, so I'm always testing anything I buy. I've got a few in there now and lately I've really been enjoying grabbibng something new out and taking it for a proper spin! Once I've given them a test, I remove them from that category.

That's a great idea. Wish I had known this while installing a ton of free plugins which are just taking up space and adding to the menu clutter when I try to select an insert.

I usually do that first. One system had 3GB.  Managing system restore and delete, create a new one, have it set to minimum.  I still use it because of Native Asshat.

    Great.

Have you checked the space reserved for the recycle bin on each drive/partition? Mine is set to 13GB on C Drive right now but I can reduce it if needed.

You'll need to restart to see the change in drive space.

The increasing space bloat is mystery.  I can only think the culprit is Windows F'updates.

Try using Disk Cleanup if it is available on your OS. It's built into Windows 10 by default. Not sure about earlier versions.

It will identify leftover system files (including windows updates) which can be deleted safely.

  5. Just a heads up on this bundle.

I purchased this from Fanatical sometime back and most of the packs contain full length (4-6 minutes) tracks without any individual stems/tracks.

Most packs have under 4-20 such full tracks (sometimes very similar sounding) which can probably be used to underlay a video here and there but I find their usage very limiting.

Please listen to the demo tracks under each pack listed on this deal and make up your mind.

The HB bundle features some Kontakt instruments too which were not part of the Fanatical deal so those might be a bit more tweakable.

But please do your research before investing in this bundle.

I went over to IKM to see if I could use my Jampoints to see if I could get a better deal.

Is it my imagination, or have IKM changed the maximum discount with JP use to 15% on items lest than €99.00, and 30% on items above €99.00?

I thought JP use was 30% off any eligible item regardless of price.

    Is the 15% thing new?

It's been there for a few months now I think.

I was trying to work out the effective price for some recent deals and that's when I noticed the change.

Got the email from IKM that it was added to my account first thing this morning.

Still can't get it to actually show up in my account ~11 hours later.

Refreshed multiple times across 2 computers, doesn't work or showup on either.  Continues to fail to here

and won't show or download all

Will it also show up under My Products on the IKM website?

I did register it through the Product Manager but can't see it listed either there or on the website.

Yep....go large or go home!  I got the Signature Bundle for $149 on a mistake about a month ago!

44 plugins for $149 in the Signature Bundle works out to same cost per plugin as 22 Plugins for $74 in the Producer Bundle.

    or H-Comp Hybrid Compressor

They've given these away as an exchange deal with Reason in August 2020.

Reason subscribers got a license of H-Comp and Waves users got something from Reason as a freebie (I can't remember what it was exactly).

It was given away again in May 2022 and Feb 2023 as part of other promos.

Is there any other company out there worse than Toontrack when it comes to upgrades for existing users.

I have never ever seen upgrades from EZD2 to 3. ?

They send out additional discounts on the upgrade from EZDrummer 2 to 3 in your mail from time to time.

It's not a lot but its better than the default upgrade price on the site.

it prompted me again and often on the second time it works. Sometimes it doesn't even load the products and I've had to restart it again.

That seemed to have done the trick here too.

I re-entered the password a few times and it got accepted eventually. Next it went into a tailspin showing "loading products". Closing NA and restarting fixed that.

I half wonder if it's their Summer Sales and they have allowed enough resources for their backend servers etc.

This could be the reason. I remember when they had their Dec'23 - Jan'24 sale on I was getting similar timeouts with iZotope Product Portal (because the iZotope login now redirects to the NI website instead of iZotope). I had to try several times before my password would get accepted.
