Yes, Antler, that is one of the best paths to the full version of a Kontakt and was how I did it back in the day ? When you have one of the Free Kontakt Player libraries you can do a crossgrade to the full version and Summer sales add more joy.

Good morning Christian, I am still trying to get that definitive list together but each time I do someone releases another piano ? I think piano libraries are so subjective as what inspires me might not do the same for others or I might not like something that others are raving about. Not to go off topic too much but I usually pull up Keyscape many times when first starting an arrangement if it is more upbeat, jazzy, etc. It seems to sit right in the mix without having to do a lot up front. I am not a fan however of their approach to key releases, the sound sort of gets cut off, I need to look into this more. Now back to VSL, I find that I go to the 280VC, the Steinway 274, or the Imperial when working more orchestrally as they have the spacious, larger than life sound. The 280vc is drier which works well. Sometimes, however the 280vc can sound harsh at times so you have to be mindful of mic positions, EQ, and such. The Free Soft Imperial is very specific in that it plays like a cloud without the need to include the higher velocity layers to achieve a characteristic sound. This is similar to Spitfire’s approach with Intimate Grand Piano, not focused on the FFF but rather the emotional ppp. This approach was to create an alternative to all of the “felted” pianos out there. So, we are getting closer. ? The countdown continues. Joyfully, Simeon

I’ll just leave this here ? Let's Play The FREE Soft Imperial From Vienna Symphonic Library

No, as I am mainly on Windows. I do have a 2012 MacBook however ? I have heard a lot of great reports about the Silicon compatibility. One of the huge benefits to using UNIFY on the new Mac Silicon is that UNIFY can act like a bridge to non Silicon VSTs and actually run them natively inside of Unify, almost like a very high performance wrapper.

MCU Control Surface Protocol
Simeon Amburgey replied to Terry Andrews's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Terry, I am not sure what MCE protocol the Arturia uses but in the case of my Studiologic MIXFACE, I had to disable HANDSHAKING, along with putting the MIXFACE into MCU CUBASE mode and then selecting that for the Cakewalk Mackie Control dialog as well. -
Sorry for such short notice. I am looking forward to featuring The Banjo from INDIGINUS along with several things from Spitfire Audio, including their PIPE ORGANS and Bernard Herrmann Composer Toolkit. Of course there will be lots of joy to go around. I look forward to seeing you.

Friday’s livestream was nuts! Here is the full replay featuring Celtic Era 2. The only way I can describe the library is that there is real “heart” inside of the instruments that you experience while playing them. The replay is indexed and I am working on editing stand alone segments as well. Enjoy! Celtic Era 2 | CHROMA Grand Piano | GAZE | Giveaways and More!

Stefano is an amazing and generous developer to continue to add more of these preset packs. His new Cinematic Percussion is really nice as well.

I was not seeing it and actually waited to reach out to support until this morning. I am looking forward to experiencing what’s new. Joyfully, Simeon

Best small time sample library developers I should check out?
Simeon Amburgey replied to Christian Jones's topic in Deals
Just to keep things organized ? I had asked Soniccouture to send me an NFR of just the Rhodes and Wurli and they sent me this entire bundle. I can tell you that the Conterburry Suitcase was a huge surprise! It is not like the Rhodes models similar to Keyscape or the Famous “E”, it has an entirely different personality to it and it is so nice. The Broken Wurli is also a huge hit. They were able to capture some very wonderful character with this one as well. More to come! -

This thread is becoming something like a Wurlitzer-palooza ? I am sitting on a plane in Dallas for the past hour because of lightning heading home and catching up. Lot’s of things to consider here. -

I almost forgot about this one, VIBRANT which was developed for HALion Sonic by e-Instruments. This was done about two years ago (wow, how time zooms past us). I will have to pull this up again as it is currently featured as the instrument of the month for 40% off. Also, going to brush up on some Ray Charles, and Billy Preston ? -
