Hi, I looking for some tempo amendment tips regarding getting existing audio tracks to fit in time with new tempo changes. I have added a tempo increase and decrease via the tempo track but would like to know the best way to get my audio tracks to fit in time with the tempo changes. Especially with my vocal tracks which have an instance of Melodyne on each track (e.g. is it best to do my tempo changes before my vocals or is there a better way of doing things)? Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Hi David, Thanks for your reply, as I said usually I have the bus drum track sending the signal to a bus FX track to use the reverb on that bus FX track. Perhaps this was a mistake on my behalf in signal routing, anyway I now have the reverb as an effect on the bus drum track itself and it sounds better. Hi Bristol, Thanks for the image of the Signal Flow-Chart, I think I nearly understand it .😉 Best wishes on your future projects. Paul

Hi, I have a drum track going to a bus drum track on which I have a reverb, but usually I have the bus drum track picking up the reverb from another bus FX track via a send. I find that the first scenario produces a better sound than the second, but I would like to know why as I assumed that the second method, which was my usual way of working, would provide the same sound results. Any ideas on why the sound is different?

[SOLVED] Cakewalk Sonar Glitches
thegaltieribrothers replied to thegaltieribrothers's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Thanks everyone for the replies, I have reduced the number of plugins that were on the pro-channel and the glitches have calmed down. I especially appreciate the optimisation tips which I will use in future. In my simplistic view I thought that it wouldn't matter if I have a load of plugins on the pro-channel + thought that if they were switched off they would have no effect on the processing power but it appears they do. I had a load of plugins in different FX chains (e.g. Compression / Reverb / Delay) on a single pro-channel in an effect to audition / mix and match what I was using on my vocal track so I'll just have to audition them separately. Cakewalk by Bandlab is a great program and now so is Cakewalk Sonar with a top-notch community as well. Thanks for all your help. -
[SOLVED] Cakewalk Sonar Glitches
thegaltieribrothers replied to thegaltieribrothers's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Thanks for the replies gentlemen. -
Can anyone confirm how many plug-ins can be added to the pro-channel before the audio starts to glitch. Is there a work-around as I have 16GB of RAM and an i5 7th generation processor in my computer but I am getting audio glitches due to the number of plug-ins on a specific pro-channel? Any advice appreciated.

Nectar 3+ Unmask Assistant Not Working
thegaltieribrothers replied to thegaltieribrothers's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi reginaldStjohn, Yes but they don't support Cakewalk by Bandlab so I thought I'd see if someone else was experiencing the same issue. Thank you for your reply. regards Paul -
I am trying to use the Nectar 3+ Unmask Assistant within a song using the Relay plugin to define the masking source but although the process starts and hears audio, it never completes. Any ideas why or suggestions how to use this feature successfully? regards Paul

Copying Markers, Fades + Trim
thegaltieribrothers replied to thegaltieribrothers's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi Greg, I am looking to copy the markers in one song to another song. I use a template for creating a song then copy the tracks to a new song but have to do the markers manually instead as one group. No biggy but perhaps if the bakers get bored they could look at these 2 ideas. Thanks for replying. -
Hi, Is there a way to copy markers from one track to another like you can drag and drop a midi file from one track to a third folder and then drag it into your new track? Also when removing breaths I use fades and trim to isolate each vocal segment; is there a way to copy the fades and trim from one track to another (e.g. 2 nearly identical vocal takes + one amended with fades and trim which now need to be repeated on the 2nd vocal track). Any guidance on the above 2 scenarios would be greatly appreciated. best wishes paul
