Ok I have a Korg BX3 and a TX7(The module version of a DX7) . Use them once in a while. ...don't mean to be playing a version of "Can You Top This"

I know you guys live far out there, but you should try digital antennas. I had cable routed thru the house. When I ditched cable I put a big antenna in the attic, paid about $190 at Best Buy... and reversed the signal flow from bottom up to top down. I have 3 TV sets with lots of channels . Sad part is there is no one to watch TV anymore

I have been purchasing way too much from sweetwater this year I have found that some things come in normal ship times, other things are not coming as fast due to the item being not in stock. So I think it is what they have in inventory dictating shipping times.

Hey so I'm using the free version. When I play out I do not have it connected to the internet. If it needs to renew it is going to cause an issue? I don't need to save or do any kind of editing, just play the dang track. Anyone doing the same?

I Went to a High School Football Game Tonight

My daughter plays flute and did so in high school. Not to brag, but I'm bragging...she is a world class flute player and song writer in LA. In Marching band and Pep band she was the Drum Major, which was funny because she knows absolutely nothing about sports and always needed someone to translate what was happening ...something good or something bad. -

SO COOL Bit! My daughter was involved in Marching Band. What was even more fun is the basketball games, they might have a Pep Band. The band is less supervised by teachers and "jams" can break out at anytime. SO COOL! I was kinda grateful that they would have a football game at the MARCHING BAND EVENT! -
I wondering if you are happy? I knew a guy who was half Scotch and half Soda...he was happy all the time.

Hey wait!!! ....it's not in Am. Just sayin'. Very Cool anyway...

MIDI Transfer from Cakewalk by Bandlab to Studio One

Sounds like the tempo is not the same and the piano plug in has a different middle C. Find the correct tempo and transpose. All should be good. -
This is the old "Picks and Axes" marketing strategy. During the California Gold Rush it wasn't the gold minors that made the most money. it was the ones selling the Picks and Axes. Yep, Listen, Music is the only way I have made a living for 40+ years and I feel much the same. my time has come and gone and there are huge number of people putting out pretty decent music. I'm refocusing and creating music that students can learn from.

Mark Knopfler - Brothers In Arms Best use of geetar ever. Great song. Makes the guitar cry and speak.

Any middle school orchestra teachers out there? So here is a piece I did. You can purchase it at JW Pepper. AI is crazy. Not enough hours in the day now. Rockin' my world!
-
Always superb. I love how there's an Irish feel that ever so slightly touches the piece at the beginning of your melody.
-
Very Cool! Nice mix also. So where are your AI images from? Nice motion.

I remember as a kid staying up 'til midnight (Chicago time) on Saturday nites just 'cause I loved the show's theme song. If I was able to stay awake I could hear the other acts. We had no way to record music or the TV so besides AM radio the only way to hear/see music was getting in front of a TV at just the right time. It made going to church the next morning pretty ruff. We did not have a turntable yet.

is this an advice that new Sonar is coming ?
Jimbo 88 replied to EnglandBross's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
So I might have missed this. People have been speculating about the Pop-up coming depending if you are online or not. My guess is that it's a timing issue. I was late to update to the final version so I'm not getting the Pop-up yet. Not until the specified time after updating expires. -
Amen...

You've all heard him. He has sung a million jingles and been a backup singer to many greats. I think his biggest jingle was "Like a great neighbor State Farm Is there..."
-
To keep a theme going...I've had the opportunity to meet and work with Gary . A great guy!

I'm really old 'cause the highlight of my day is coming back and reading this thread (fread)

This thread is kinda reminding me of how I kinda feel things are changing. Seems things are way slower around here. Have most people just moved on?, like to other platforms, not just DAWs, but to Discord, Facebook Sonar pages or other places? I do owe a huge dept of gratitude to all the Old-timers here. Even before I joined the Forum (i think 2007) I was sneaking around it getting many answers. I have never been good at knowing answers or giving answers, but when I had an issue I could always get great answers here. As a self-employed musician I always worried about being my own IT guy, but between Sweetwater and this forum I had the best tech department anyone could ask for. I mean I KNOW when and how to use Bapu's Am...or a G7(+9) chord...or how to modulate keys...but I was very sketchy and uninterested in things like IP addresses and such. So I hope the new Sonar is inspiring and this forum stays vibrant. It certainly has served me well in the past.

USA Mic test all day tomorrow (end of the year)

A geetar player friend (we were in a band for 21 years) use to say this... Whiskey! Check 1, 2 3, Bring me a Whiskey.... Many times a waitress would then begin looking for the person to give the whiskey too. Nice trick. The bass player always said, "Can you give me a little more upper-mids" I thought, wow he's got some great ears. But then he literally said that every time we did a sound check... and I realized he just liked saying upper-mids to impress the sound guy and just like saying "Upper mids" -
I wondering in anticipation if the big day is Jan. 1st 2024...
