CbB 2019.05 and Melodyne 4.2.1.003 BUG
Jack Hawk replied to Ciodontrax's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I meant 4.2, must have fat fingered that... Thanks for the input... -
I apologize for not responding sooner. I've been out of commission for most of the winter, and had a small project in April I was working on, which is when I had the issue. I'm just now back to actually spending time in the studio... When all this transpired, what I found was my output device had somehow removed itself from the DAW. not only that, but once I found and fixed, (I had to completely reinstall), I had to go through and reconfigure everything. It was an easier process to do the initial install than it was to find and fix this snafu. I run a Soundcraft Signature 12 multi track mixer, fed into the DAW via USB. I have no idea what caused everything to belly up, but once I reinstalled and reconfigured It's been fine.

CbB 2019.05 and Melodyne 4.2.1.003 BUG
Jack Hawk replied to Ciodontrax's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hello all, last fall there were issues with Melodyne 4.2 and CbB. at the time, Melodyne claimed they couldn't reproduce the error, and to keep working I reinstalled version 4.1, which has been working. I since finished the project I was working on, and due to health issues I've been off the radar since January. just getting back to things now and wondered if Melodyne 4.3 is working properly these days with the CbB 2019.5, which I just installed... can anyone update me please??? Thank you -
I got it working finally

I tried installing the update with no luck either. I'm thinking the audio engine is dying, but don't know why, or how to restart it.

So new issue... I can pull up a project, but when I try playing it, nothing happens. The curser jumps a bit ang goes right back to the beginning of the song. I cannot get anything to happen. It worked fine previously, but I have not used in a few weeks, and now I'm seeing this issue. Any ideas anyone?

Yes, the patch is for all editions of Melodyne. FWIW, I did send Celemony projects that were having issues, and I was told they worked fine for them. Funny, because I had multiple projects misbehaving, and sent them screen shots of the problem multiple times. It's also disappointing that it's been 4 months since they introduced the problem with the 4.2 release, a turn around time I find unacceptable given the cost of the product... I'll stick with 4.1 a bit longer until I'm sure there's actually a fix...

I've got it... looks as if clearing the cache did the trick. Interestingly, it looks as if it was seeing the page, but was unable to load for some reason... I tried flushing DNS first, which didn't appear to work, and then cleared the cache, shut down the browser, and Viola... back in business... Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I use Chrome as my preferred browser, but also tried to connect with Edge with no luck. I get an error that the page won't load on both. Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled BandLab Assistant with no luck. I'll try clearing cache and report back... thanks all for the suggestions.

I appreciate the help... I'll keep trying and see if I can figure it out. As far as Win 10, I can connect through several Windows 10 laptops, 2 Vista builds and a win 8.1. I've no idea as to what the issue is with this as it connects every where else I go... only BandLab is a problem... As long as CbB updates, which it did this last time, I suppose I can live with it, but It makes no sense why this one PC has a problem... Thanks again

I thought of that and verified firewall is off and no VS is running... It's weird. It did work back until this last round of updates. CbB did update, and I got BandLab assistant to update by downloading to a different machine and carrying the files to my DAW. I'd like to fix it, but I'm lost as everything else in the house sees the BandLab site...

I did the in place update to Windows 10 on my DAW with no issues. Currently, my DAW is the only Win 10 not associated with my Microsoft account as I didn't want yet another online connection to the interned through the DAW. my Win 8.1 and 2 other Win 10 PC's are connected via my microsoft account. I'm not sure there is any good reason to set up the DAW through Microsoft?

Actually bought this myself a few months back... Great information.

Here is a link to a few of the songs I've completed in the past year...

Since encountering the issue updating the BandLab assistant I began exploring what the issue may be. I've found that I can no longer open a web browser to the BandLab site. I can do so on my other computers, I can ping the site and trace route from the DAW with no issues, but it will not connect to the site. I'm wondering what may be the issue, and whether anyone else has seen this issue. I'd like to figure what went wrong to cause this. It worked when I first downloaded the app and CbB back in April of last year, and all updates have worked until this last one. I'm not sure what to look for next. If I can ping it, why can't I connect to it? Thanks

Many thanks scook, I'll check for the files and download if necessary.

As I understand it, CbB still does not come with all the bell and whistles that Splat did... various plugins and such. If Someone wanted to move to a new PC, what would be the best way to get Splat installed on the system prior to installing CbB? I didn't think the old Cakewalk Download Manager left any files behind after install, and that's likely not working anymore. I'm not looking to do anything in the near future, but at some point it may be something I wish to do and would love to retain the original Splat install if possible... Thank You

Found it. I had looked originally under the Profile tab and couldn't find it there. Copied and pasted from the old forum... Thank You

I used my BandLab credentials which worked fine... Greetings.
