Cakewalk now exclusively available through BandLab Membership
TheMaartian replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I have had a perpetual Studio One Pro license since v2 (10+ years ago) and have paid for the v4, v5 and v6 upgrades (v3 wasn't around long enough to upgrade to; I don't remember what happened with it). I can quit upgrading major versions (about every 2-3 years) anytime I want and use what I have forever. That's awesome. That said, PreSonus have had a subscription version for some time. It's now called Studio One+ and includes everything, including Notion 6. What they have done is move some expansions to the subscription model and removed them from perpetual licensing. For example, I only have about half of the Fat Channel XT plugins. When I went to the PreSonus shop to buy the rest, it said Studio One+ members only. Maybe that will change some day, but I'm not holding my breath. And I sure as hell am not going to go the monthly subscription route just for those 5-7 plugins. I just bought T-RackS 5 MAX v2 for the insanely low price of 49 € less 7 € using points. Now, I have around 900 plugins. I almost certainly have the missing Fat Channel plugins duplicated, if not exactly, at least functionally. -
I don't yet have a fretless bass, but the Marco Marcústico I ordered will eventually see the light of day (280 day build time). I can see Melodyne being very useful for fixing off-notes as I learn to accurately play a fretless. I have to admit that my biggest use of Melodyne is for transcribing bass lines in the original songs.

Grabbed this one, plus a couple of Unified Synth patches for synths I've recently acquired. I don't always remembered to check the list at the bottom of the Unify page on the PluginGuru website when I pick up something new (for me). I don't, and may never, own Omnisphere, so having MM Guitars available native for Unify is nice. I have Kontakt, but have no need to add MM Guitars for Kontakt. The library for Unify is all I need.

Great price from JRR Shop. Instant delivery. Register the serial number he gives you in the PSP account. Register and authorize the iLok license PSP generates. Download and install. Easy peasy. The UI is now scalable. 150% on my 4K display looks excellent. Simple, easy to navigate UI. Two plate reverbs (the 244 and the 245). Can be used separately or together. If you open the extra settings box at the bottom, you can select the order if used together (244->245 or 245->244). I really like my other PSP plugins. I have no doubt that this one will find a place in my music. If anyone is interested, here's PSP's short intro video.

Plugin Boutique Scaler 2 $29 Flash Sale (Exclusive)

If you buy it now, will you use it now? If yes, buy it now. If no, then don't buy it now. -
Geez. Yet another money grubbing major version upgrade. I remain super happy that I dumped SpectraLayers 6 for Acon Digital's Acoustica Premium. It's flat out superior all the way around, and the Restoration and Mastering Suite plugins that come with the Premium version are fantastic. Acoustica has had ONE major version upgrade (v6 to v7) that I paid for. All of the other updates have been free. SpectraLayers? v6. v7. v8. v9. v10. And now v11. Give me a break.

If only UVI would implement the same new feature.

I opened Chrome on top of NA. By the time I shut Chrome down, NA had finished the d/l and install. All I know is that it took less than an hour. ?

I don't know what list price is in $, but in €, it's 89, which is the current price at Thomann. That price includes the 20% VAT for France. So, I guessing that $81 is list price. Change me mind. ?
-
But will the upgrade after v3 is released include a free expansion? I don't know, but what the heh, purchased, and free expansion INSTALLED, @Bapu-style! ?

Nothing like a 30 GB update. Thanks, NI! ?

MeldaProduction MSoundFactory MPE Sale (Exclusive) for $132
TheMaartian replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
If you're not going to do sound or instrument design or endless low-level tweaking, don't waste your money on the full version. The LE version includes all instruments, including new ones that get added, but only provides limited preset tweaking (up to 8 predefined parameters, IIRC). Pretty much an exact structural equivalent to Arturia's Analog Lab Pro vs their V Collection. At list prices, the LE version is 99 € vs 299 €. I picked up the LE version on one of Melda's 50% sales. For 50 €, it gives me all I need. -
Martinic does a great job with their modeling technology. I just purchased this, and it sounds great. 33 € direct from Martinic. If you like Pianet T, check out their AX73. It's superb. Pricey (99 €), so you may want to wait for the next sale on it. I managed to grab it for 37 € and picked up AX Chorus as a monthly freebie from Audio Plugin Deals.

If my "works" you mean it usually downloads and installs new purchases and updates, I'll grant you that. But UI issues like the message box every time I open NA that tells me that they sending my usage data to them, even though I have that option disabled, or the update screen showing multiple items to update or repair that pops up the "install completed" message box but then doesn't update the display to remove that item immediately from the list, leaving you to wonder if it has really completed the install or maybe not. Little things like that just leave a really poor taste in my mouth. And the time it takes to do an install is getting better, but is still way to long. But now better than Arturia's, so there's that improvement.

In the year 2525 If NI is still alive If Access can survive It may work

What a difference two years makes! It's like the remix fits great and the original is a pair of pants a size too small. Excellent clarity and use of space.

v3 is compatible with all of the v2 presets. Even if you don't use any of the added features of v3, I found the improved UI support for 4K displays really useful on my 17" Lenovo P17. Much nicer to work with versus v2. So, I finally paid for it.

I've trialed ImpOSCar2 several times, but never pulled the PayPal trigger. But the new ImpOSCar3 version was compelling enough that I bought it. It will be a nice addition to my instrument library.

39 € on this side of the pond. And that includes the VAT (20% here in France). This is a bargain.

Beat me to it. Thanks. ?

Installed via the plugin. ?

Awesome! And I just updated from DOS 5 to Win95. Woo hoo! Now I can get MySpice!

Howdy, PB! Still waiting (kind of) patiently for your next video! And what happened to the video named something like The Last Mantric Opera. It's not on your YT channel anymore. It was my favorite! ?

Probably to support something in the new Jazz Sessions SDX.
