    African Skies

Hi guys The third track off our new album has just been released today - it's called African Skies - this track means quite a lot to us as we love Africa and Africans and spend a great deal of time in Africa. But what goes on can be very dispiriting at times, . One of these days, hopefully Africa will start to produce leaders who aren't just thieves and despots!! Anyway here's the track, hope you enjoy Nigel African Skies Swirling across The arid Plain Dust taints the sky Water holes dry Crops all gone Just waiting for Time to die African skies Majestic and cruel Save your remorse For tomorrow African skies Mountains so tall Earth blood red With sorrow Struggles continue Over the Land Slaughter night and day Some people claim The Land is theirs But history's in the way African skies Majestic and cruel Save your remorse For tomorrow African skies Mountains so tall Earth blood red With sorrow Now it’s time To count the cost Hate and intolerance abide Corruption means Poverty and death People just try to survive African skies Majestic and cruel Save your remorse For tomorrow African skies Mountains so tall Earth blood red With sorrow
  2. I haven't heard of Har Bal for ages - I used to have Har Bal and updated up until version 2 I think - to be honest I thought they had gone bust!! Those who have the latest version, is it any good and what exactly do you use it for? Thanks Nigel
  3. Hi Joad Thanks for the kind comments - always appreciated Nigel
  4. Hi Craig - thanks for the plug - always appreciated!! Cheers Nigel
  5. Hi Thanks for the comments, really appreciated - with regard to iTunes, I have no idea how they have got that wrong - I don't think we'd even recorded it in March?? Anyway shall try and see what's happened, thanks for letting me know. With regards the arrangement, we didn't want to change too much as we really liked the song, just wanted to do it our way. Again thanks, Nigel
  6. Jim - I've had a number of systems from Studiocat - very good products and after sales Service , so I would strongly recommend them if you go down the route of a product from a supplier as opposed to building yourself Hope all goes well Nigel
  7. Hi Everyone The second track off our new album was released the other day - hope you enjoy it - it's a cover of the old Jefferson Airplane track Cheers Nigel
  8. Blackeyedbeats, Tezza and bjornpdx - thanks so much for the kind comments - we really appreciate all the support - we're still pinching ourselves a bit at just how well this track has been received - we've had nearly 250000 views now on YouTube!! Thanks Nigel
  9. Windows 7 user here as well - since I invested in SSD Drives, the machines work very well, probably better than they ever have! after support stops, I am going to continue to use my machines until incompatibility issues or terminal breakdown make that no longer feasible. Nigel
  10. Andy I'd continue, definitely sounds like there could be something good in there!! And why stop at ONLY 23 minutes - why not a triple rock opera themed album....now that's proper prog rock heaven!! Nigel
  11. Hi grem Cheers comments really appreciated - it really has been received well - we've had over a 170000 views on YouTube now! Nigel
  12. I've spent way more on divorce attorneys. Ha ha, brilliant - and a great way to look at the true costs of even the most expensive software -!!! Nigel
  13. Hi Daryl I like this - really reminds me of The Bonzo Dog Do Dah Band - used to love Viv Stanshall and once even saw Roger Ruskin Spears kinetic Wardrobe (or something like that) It was very strange and certain substances were obligatory to enjoy fully (beer of course???) , but there you go, the old days!! Great stuff Nigel
  14. Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who took the time to check out our video - we have had OVER a Hundred Thousand views on YouTube now, so this has been our most successful release so far Once again, Thanks so much Nigel
  15. Hi Dave Like this a lot - a great Sax solo would make this sound spectacular - I've just worked with a saxophonist friend of mine who just dubbed a small solo on a track we are doing at the moment. I'd originally hashed the solo together using some Kontakt instrument (cant remember which one) and i thought that sounded Ok - but the real thing, well something else!! Nigel
  16. Hi Daryl Thanks so much, really appreciated - and we have done videos for all the tracks on the album, so as they get released there will be new videos - hope you like the rest as much as this one!! Cheers Nigel
