It seems that this happened last year also, I followed this forum thread and found that cakewalk.exe digital signature had expired 3/7/2023

Follow-up, went to Bandlab Assistant - Apps - Cakewalk - Open pulldown menu - Refresh Activation. Opened Cakewalk and it flashed Activation Refreshed then the Not Activated pop-up appeared. Went through the Offline Activation method using Bandlab Assistant outline here with no success: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/articles/900006210046-Activating-Cakewalk

Today, I got a pop-up that Cakewalk is Not Activated (20, 800b0100) and because it is deactivated, I can't save. It says to Contact Support and clicking on it, sends me to the Cakewalk web page where I have to create an account but account creation is disabled. If I go to the Help menu - Refresh Activation, it works but still Cakewalk is Not Activated. The Help menu shows that I am logged into Bandlab. Under Help menu - Check for Updates, it says I am up to date with version 28.11.0.21 with the option for updating the Help menus and Demos. I updated Help and Demos. Still no activations I shut down Cakewalk, (losing my latest work ? ) and now it requests that I login into Bandlab first. Did that, Cakewalk opens and says Not Activated. Refreshed Activation and back where I started from Not Activated and can't save....

I have created and in the process of creating quick and dirty tutorials for new users on using Bandlab and Cakewalk from installation of Bandlab Assistant and Cakewalk, initial audio and midi setup, audio recording, midi recording, exporting music and tracks from Cakewalk, importing music and tracks into Bandlab Assistant and more. The purpose is to go over the most important points needed to get up to speed to create music and share it on Bandlab.
