I thought Bapu was making an appearance.

Windows 11 is quickly becoming as sour as Waves Audio was...
57Gregy replied to GTsongwriter's topic in The Coffee House
I'd like to add: Upgrading to Windows 11 gives you the latest features/fixes, but at the risk of upsetting your current setup (e.g. audio interface driver incompatibilities) ... but some day you'll stop getting updates. ?Much further in the future, I hope. -
Are you finished recording and mixing? Try Process>Length on your completed master audio. Simple, fast, undoable.

Didn't he also say Grand Funk was the greatest band of all time?

AI is out to get us ... didn't this happen in an episode of Star Trek?

Colossus, a book from the '60s written by Dennis Feltham Jones. Made into a movie called Colossus: The Forbin Project. When I read it circa 1972, I thought no one would ever let it go that far. Then came War Games, The Terminator, et. al. We're edging closer and closer to the fiction we viewed in our youth. Thank goodness I'm old. You youngsters may meet me when you're eating your soylent green. -
Can I slow down playback of an audio clip to identify/mark edit points?
57Gregy replied to TH's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I just did it using Process>Length. I imported an audio clip, Lengthened it 200%, Zoomed way in, added a Clip Gain envelope to lower the volume in a few places, Bounced to Track, then did Process>Length to 50% and it worked. Your ears are undoubtedly better than mine, but I didn't hear any artifacts once I was finished. -

What do you call it when your talking bird curses? A mynah infraction.

Cactus has mentioned often that if all you're doing is mixing and mastering, such as for a musician client. then a stock sound card is usually enough. It's the recording and recording in synch that requires a better interface. I don't think he meant to change from your MOTU to a Realtek when you're finished recording.

Hi, Robert. If you're using your interface with the headphones and you're using ASIO and you want to switch to your computer speakers, you can't. You would need to change to the computer soundcard and change the driver mode from ASIO to WASAPI or WDM/KS or MME. Easier to connect your interface to an amplifier/speaker combo. If you have one. If you have powered speakers, just unplug them from the computer and to the interface.

Nice mixer. Does it come with a talent plug-in? Asking for a friend.

However, when the now line is stopped and I press Ctrl+spacebar once, it plays and when I press it again, it returns to the previous stop point.
-
Never used that before. I have the spacebar set to stop the transport where it is when I press it and to start again when re-pressed.

I usually just change the track's output to the new synth. No need to change channels. Or do you mean to run these tracks through different synths simultaneously?
-
Hold the Ctrl button down while clicking an event. I think.
-
Some of the default settings are so low that you may not see a change. One ms is not a lot. Click them a few times and you'll see the clip move. Or change them.

Help installing EZ & Superior Drummer 2 from disk
57Gregy replied to Bob Grieco's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It seems like he's installed it already on the D drive and now wants to install the synths. -
Spooky. Just turned on the radio after reading this and "Tales of Brave Ullysses" was on. RIP.

What is Sweden is the home team?

I misunderstood. You're right, it's not there, but in the library of emotions. Hey! That sounds like the name of a band!

I think it's aimed specifically at the RealTek ASIO driver.
