Back in the 1970s we were a house band in a Miami hotel. On the weekends stars would come in and do a show.

A guy who said he managed the Trammps wanted to hire me in their touring band. The problem was he offered me $100 less than I was making at the Hotel, I'd have to travel in the band bus, and room with another guy in a hotel room. My answer was "No thank you."
