Good day, Hope someone can give me advice: I've been using a Casio lk-240 keybord for the last few years as my midi player without incident. Today, when I wanted to use it, CbB would not install it. Instead gave me a message "not enough memory as warned by Windows" or something to that effect. This is the first time I've ever got this message. Fact is now I'm stuck and cannot use it No problem in Kontakt, only with CbB. Some advice please? Kind regards Bertus.

I've found MY mistake: I forgot to change the articulation back to the starting point after recording. Going back to my project I realized it. Now it works perfectly. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, much appreciated Silly mistake!!!?

The problem I'm having is this: If I play these articulations on my keyboard I can change it mid song to the next articulation without a problem. But as soon as I want to record it only records the last articulation played. So, if I want to make a song with say 8 articulations, I have to open 8 midi channels and record each one separately? What happens then to fluency of the song? Plus, it takes up a lot of real estate on my laptop (Not ideal, but it's what I have) and places a big burden on my RAM & CPU. If you can change the tempo midway through a song with bandlab why can it not be done with libraries/ articulations? I mean, most of the vsts and libraries available today have multi switching and articulations and does everyone using it create separate tracks for each articulation?

Thanks for the reply. They do use keyswitches but even then in Cakewalk it only plays the last phrase used. And I've looked through the documentation of CbB but don't find an answer there. Hence my query on this forum, maybe someone used another Kontakt library that had the same problem?

Good day, I hope someone can help; I'm using Silka choir in my project. Problem is I don't know how to record 2 phrases ( eg. aa and oh) on one track. When play it back it only plays one phrase. Is there a way to record multi phrases on one track instead of multi tracks with one phrase on each? Please help. Kind regards. Bertus.

Can someone please help? I want to open two libraries side by side in Cakewalk but have no idea how. I'm working on two monitors, with the main interface on one and my libraries on the other. But I can only open one instance at a time, as it's replaced by the other as soon as I open the new one. What I'm trying to do is to open, for instance, one Kontakt file as well as Ujam, side by side, on one monitor, with the CbB interface on the other. Any advice please? Kind regards.

Good day all, I need some advice. For the last few months I've been having problems with CbB and I have no idea how to resolve. As soon as I open a library or vst in cakewalk it crashes. I have even gone so far as to move all my libraries and vst's to an external hdd (to clear up space) but the same problem persists. I must also mention that it's not only a CbB problem, but also with Reaper and FL studio. I had some issues in the past with the latter 2 but now it's the same with CbB. I have re-installed it a few times but problem still persists. I have a very old laptop/processor that dates back to 2016 but I never had a problem like this. (Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N3050 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz, 8GB Ram) Maybe there are some settings I should check/ change? Unfortunately I cannot change the processor as it's integrated. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hi all, I Hope someone can advise: I have been using CbB for a while now but this is the first time I've had this issue. When playing keyboard using the plugins (Kontakt, BBCSO, etc) all works well and then all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, everything falls out and I have to restart all the plugins. No matter if it's only two or maybe 10 plugins, it happens in all scenarios. Sometimes it's for a few hours that I can play with no hassles, then, once this "fallout" starts, the longest I can play is 7 minutes. Then it stops again and I have to start all over again!!. In the past I have never had this issue with CbB, but this has been happening since November last year. Even when I record the same thing happens. During the recording session the following happens; If I record a session and, before playback, reinstall and restart all the plugins, all goes well UNTIL I pause/ stop it. Then there's no sound. Restarting is the only choice which I'm sure you will agree is not ideal!! Can someone please advise me what to do? I have tried everything I know but cannot fix it. Regards.

Good day all, I have a small problem with Scaler 2 that I need advice. I've used the apreggiator to record a song in CbB. Sound beautiful, just what I wanted.. Problem is, Scaler won't stop recording! Every instrument I try to use for the rest of the song is also recorded automatically even though Scaler is not activated. I've tried changing the in and output channel s to 1 for the recording and the other instruments to either omni or ch 2, still doesn't work. Any suggestions please? Regards

Have downloaded Access and problem solved. Thanks! One of the libraries I got with this will not install fully. Is there another instance of Kontakt I must also install for this to work (like Komplete)? or is it the library itself (Realivox blue). Thanks & regards

Hi all, I have a small problem with Kontakt 6.3.1. I recently got this version from a friend who doesn't use it any more. Problem is when I use it in Cakewalk. ( As standalone no problem whatsoever.) When I use it in cakewalk it works fine first time, but after saving it it gives me an error every time, logs out and next time I try to use it I cannot recall the file. I have tried every configuration I can think of but nothing works. Had the Player version for a while without any problems. Is there something I'm missing? Is there another NI app I must have for it to work? Please help! Regards Bertus.

Good day all, I recently got hold of this (Free) version from Spitfire and I must say it's worth it in every sense of the word. It sounds amazing, so much so that I deleted most of the other "free" VST's that I was using. The only problem I've encountered so far is that it's not easy to adjust the attack and release time. I asked their helpdesk for advice and this is the answer I received from them: 'On the interface is a control called Dynamics. This is mapped to modulation automation in your DAW, or your controller mod wheel. Fade this up and down to gain further realism. At the start of the notes, push this up, and at the end fade it down. Further, different velocities on legatos create different transitions. If you play a note above Velocity 19, you will trigger a more aggressive change. Further over lapping the notes will provide a portamento transition at low velocities. Combing these will give you greater realism than an adsr. ' The problem is my controller doesn't have a mod wheel (old model Casio). But then also, why adjust the dynamics manually, while it's much easier done with ADSR? There the settings are done once, no need to redo after every chord or note. I have tried using the Sonitus delay in Cakewalk to achieve this which works in a sense, The problem is that there is an 'echo' at the end of the chord that I don't know how to rectify. This may work for other music genres but not for me. Any advice on what to do? Thanks.

Thanks for the list, just what I need. Still going through it and already know a lot more than last week! Have you covered arps in your videos? I know that there are some inbuilt arps in Cakewalk but not really what I am looking for. What I need to know is how to create arps (ala Zimmer) that can play in any key once stored. Any advice? Good day all, I need some advice please. I've been having this problem with Cakewalk for a while now and don't know how to fix it. The problem is that my Midi keyboard keeps on shutting down while playing. Once I've selected the instruments and start playing it works fine for a few minutes. Then it goes silent and after a while gives me a message that the keyboard has been disconnected. Then I have to log out and start from scratch again. Any advice please, this is very frustrating. Now I've had enough of this crap!!!!!!!!!!!! After months of trying to work with Cakewalk I've finally given up. Now i'm done with this rubbish, rather work with FL studio or Cantabile or similar but cannot work like this. Seems every time a so-called "update" is made. the worse it becomes. Lately every time I make a change to the VST setup I have to reboot everything before it registers and then only for that one session. Next time I log in everything crashes, gives me a fatal error message, CbB closes on it's own, and I have to start from scratch. I have even tried re-installing CbB on several occasions but to no avail, still same problem. Now I'm done, hope you have better luck!!

Hi, re: DSK VST's. I have a problem with ALL of them; Synthopia, Ethereal Pads, Choir etc. I even went back to Cakewalk filing structure and created a "VST plugin" subfolder with these vst's in it. Same problem. All of my 32 bit VST's are in this folder in Cakewalk under the Program files. As you can see, some of them plays well, it's just DSK that won't open Maybe something with my operating system? Intelcore i3 5005u CPU@ 2.00 GHz; 4Gb Ram. Maybe time to change to 64 bit Vst's but cannot find any free out there like the Ethereal pads and Synthopia. Which is a pity, sounds quite nice (to me anyway). Regards Bertus
